I finally got in! The BEST hash browns and sweet and quick service. I was happy I reserved a table--totally worth it!Dietary restrictions: No gluten free bread options

Food is excellent, people are amazing, but the tables is unreasonable small, chairs are small and extremely uncomfortable, the place is very noisy, and we're unable to have a conversation.

I have been coming to Mama Kat’s ever since I first moved to San Marcos for college, and their food has never disappointed. EVERYTHING is delicious, from their coffee to their breakfast to their pies and cinnamon rolls! The only thing I’d say is to make sure you are here ahead of time because the waits are extraordinarily long, and rightfully so. I personally love their fresh vegetable and cheese scramble, cinnamon rolls, Belgian waffles, and Mexi-Cat Mocha. I am a vegetarian and I was ecstatic to see that they added an entire plant-based menu with TONS of vegan options.

Love Mama Kats!! Love their coffee!!!! The food and service is fantastic! However, such a popular place comes with one downside..... waiting! Thursday at 11am was still a 30 minute wait, so if you're not in a rush.....find a spot to sit and wait, then ENJOY! If it was bad, they would have a wait list. Good side, they're now open on Wednesdays too. ☕

Food quantity and quality don't match the price and hype. For less money, same if not better quality, and more portion size, you can go to the Broken Yolk.Overall, just average.

Ive been coming here all of my life, ever since it was grandpa allens back in the 80s and 90s. The problem is that it's impossible to get a table on the weekends. My entire family waited for 2 hours one day and by the time we actually were seated everyone was kind of annoyed and it wasn't even enjoyable. There are plenty of good restaurants around to be sitting outside for hours on a Sunday. I have to give them 1 star for service

While on vacation, my son took me here.Loved everything about it. Family owned and run. Chances of a family member serving you is great. Coffee was perfect, and the old-fashioned shredded hash browns were yummy. If you want to get in right away, go by 9 am. Otherwise, you may have an hour or more wait time. That says a lot about Mama Kat's!Miss you as I am back on the East Coast, but I will be back!Parking: Lot was full when I went but was able to find street parking before 9 amOtherwise, it may be challenging.

Nice little Cafe, very expensive.. Eggs Florentine and they charged me $3 more than the menu price and then $5 for raw spinach and a little extra sauce.. In all about $30 for breakfast, it was good.. But not that good.
