Menchie's Frozen Yogurt

My 7 year old daughter seriously wanted me to give this Menchies a 1 star review. We walked into get some frozen yogurt, two of the machines didn't have flavors available, the flavors that were there are not great and even when we did find a flavor that we wanted the machines weren't working. We threw our cups in the trash and went to Handles where we knew we would get better service, flavors they always have, and it would be 1/2 the price.
We been loyal to Menchie's for years and this place just went down hill.
We now go to the Frozen yogurt in carlsbad off la Costa. They are cheaper, have better flavors, and we know there machines work.

Menchies has delicious yogurt but I'm writing this review to also appreciate Jacob who is sweet and is always kind when I pop in. I love good customer service!

Chill dude and nice flavors and toppings let me and my friend keep my skateboards inside and get samples while it was raining, very nice and chill atmosphere and would 10000% recommend coming here

Last time I went the workers were just sitting on the counter on their phones, ok fine whatever. But tonight we went in at around 9:20 and I understand they close at 10, but the two girls didn’t even say hi or greet us, just looked at us. Half the flavors were already emptied out for the night and when I was trying to get my yogurt the cashier told me “put the handle all the way up when you’re done”.Then when we were checking out she was just giving me a dirty look. Honestly made me sad because I love Menchies but don’t think I will be returning after that.Btw I used to be a manager at Panera and we kept all products out and sold food until we were CLOSED, we did not keep products away from customers 40 mins before closing time and we were definitely not rude to them for coming in late!!!!

It seems like all my child therapy clients love this place! A week doesn't go by that I don't hear about how at least one of my clients is getting to visit Menchie's after their session.

Good but sooo expensive! What I really miss are the places that made the froyo creation for you. For that reason I don't think a self serve spot will ever get more than 4 stars from me. In my mind you can't beat an amazing counter service place (try Rockie's down in Linda Vista).

Please change your floor cleaner. The cheap bleach or whatever used is extremely off putting. A few dollars more for a mild lavender or non scented cleaner is better than a gas station floor cleaner. Simple change.

Frozen yogurt is flavorful, options rotate often, toppings are plentiful, there's an opportunity to sample new flavors, and prices are pretty reasonable. I recommend a visit, we're certainly repeat customers.Now, story time: I had promised my daughter and fiance a frozen surprise for desert one evening and, as luck would have it, we found out one of my childhood dogs was being put to sleep the next day. I won't go into too much detail, but it was time. I had known it was coming for a while, but it was still an emotional impact. In my state, while getting everyone in the car and heading over, I forgot my wallet. I didn't realize until everyone had chosen their treats and toppings and we were standing at the register. To say I was embarrassed is an understatement, but the kind employee there was extremely understanding. Again, won't go into detail, but she made my daughter's night and saved me from my idiotic mistake. I'm extremely grateful and hope she knows how appreciated she was. Yeah, it's a food service job and that means all the flak that comes with it, but whoever hired her found someone with genuine empathy and it helped make a rough day less rough. Thank you.

The best frozen yogurt around!

Great menchies and Taylor deserves a raise. She was the nicest worker I ever met at any place. Will be returning.

Super friendly staff she was very helpful and pleasant. Kept the place REALLY clean as well 9 PM Friday! I will definitely be back!
