First time here and loved it. I got the honey vanilla late ices and a smoothie, one of the best lattes I’ve had in a long while. Smoothie was refreshing and healthy on a hot day. I posted up and worked here on my laptop, got food which was good too, and enjoyed the relaxing music and ambience. Hope to make it back soon

I was hoping for an overall 4.5-5 experience, but I ended up a bit disappointed. The coffee was okay, but the atmosphere wasn’t great. There were only a few seating spots, and even with just a few people it felt cramped.

Best coffee around. Decaf is so good I got spoiled and cannot drink any other brands. I go daily. Food is also excellent and everything is freshly made from scratch. They are very dog friendly. I go daily with my pup. He has the cutest routine, where he drinks his water with ice cubes, and keeps checking for his pup cup to come out at the counter. I posted a video.

I ordered an iced latte that turned out to be inedible. It tasted so burnt that I couldn’t even add anything to try to fix it at home. I get that coffee isn’t always going to be amazing but this was truly the worst latte I’ve ever had. I don’t know how this place has such a high rating if they can’t even get a simple latte right. Wish I could get my money back because it literally went down the drain. ETA: This isn’t a matter of dark vs light roast, as I actually prefer dark roast. The espresso was simply not good, it was terrible. It left a burnt taste in my mouth, which no other coffee has ever caused (dark or not). I’m telling you, it was so bad I had to throw it out. The employee who made it has also received another negative review on here for his drinks so there’s that, too.

I really wanted to love Accend Coffee in Encinitas, but after today I will not be coming back.

I ordered a torched latte, iced with no ice, and coconut milk. It was $7.95 plus a tip — and what I got was a cup barely filled, warm instead of chilled, and tasting like no effort was put into it. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this experience with the same barista (male,tall, dark hair), but it will definitely be the last. For nearly $8, I expect consistency, care, and at least a drink that matches what was ordered.

On top of that, I’ve noticed multiple times there are flies in the food case and around the kitchen area which makes me question the cleanliness.

This coffee cost them more than $8 it cost them a lifetime customer.

The owner needs to work on constructive criticism and grow from it, not try and defend their inefficiencies.

The location is excellent and the food is beyond fantastic. I can't get enough of this place. the experience so far is TOP!!!! It really is that good. It's a must try. You will not be disappointed. love it.

Very cute coffee shop, all the baristas are friendly and efficient! It's in a convenient location in la costa, near Carlsbad, Encinitas, and san marcos.
My girlfriend and i love happy hour which is at 3-5pm on weekdays, and you get specialty coffee drinks 50% off and bogo 50% off.
Our favorite things to get are the torched latte, midnight mocha, and an everything bagel, where they put the cream cheese on too!

Coffee is not good!! If you are looking for a good cup of coffee go somewhere else! Plus they charge you for a light splash of non dairy milk in a coffee!! They literally refused to give me a very light splash without paying 75 cents which I’ve never experienced at a coffee shop before such terrible customer service !

Decent coffee place. The service was great and the coffee was good. I initially wanted to order a Matcha but was told they are on the sweeter side, hopefully they get some non sweetened matcha soon!
I also ordered the breakfast tacos, and I would not recommend, the egg texture was very odd and dry, did not seem like fresh eggs were used. The space is well set up for remote work but the seating/ table height is a bit off.

We enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Ascend in La Costa. The service was good and the little spot has a surprisingly lovely atmosphere.The food and drinks were served with reusable cups and plates for in-house orders which is a huge plus! And everything was delicious.
