Very cute coffee shop, all the baristas are friendly and efficient! It's in a convenient location in la costa, near Carlsbad, Encinitas, and san marcos.
My girlfriend and i love happy hour which is at 3-5pm on weekdays, and you get specialty coffee drinks 50% off and bogo 50% off.
Our favorite things to get are the torched latte, midnight mocha, and an everything bagel, where they put the cream cheese on too!

Coffee is not good!! If you are looking for a good cup of coffee go somewhere else! Plus they charge you for a light splash of non dairy milk in a coffee!! They literally refused to give me a very light splash without paying 75 cents which I’ve never experienced at a coffee shop before such terrible customer service !

Decent coffee place. The service was great and the coffee was good. I initially wanted to order a Matcha but was told they are on the sweeter side, hopefully they get some non sweetened matcha soon!
I also ordered the breakfast tacos, and I would not recommend, the egg texture was very odd and dry, did not seem like fresh eggs were used. The space is well set up for remote work but the seating/ table height is a bit off.

We enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Ascend in La Costa. The service was good and the little spot has a surprisingly lovely atmosphere.The food and drinks were served with reusable cups and plates for in-house orders which is a huge plus! And everything was delicious.

Always peaceful and a great morning or afternoon stop! Friendly service and the atmosphere is so calm. Great if you need a break or to study or just meet up with a friend.

Called and ordered 5 lemon bars with a manager to be picked up on a Sunday. Called again to confirm the order with a manager and she confirmed the pick up. When I arrived to pick them up they were closed due to no electricity. I can understand the circumstances, however I do not understand why I wasn't given a call to let me know so I didn't drive all the way there. When I spoke to an assistant manager today she looked at me sideways like she was offended when I asked politely if there was anything she could do to make it right. She only replied with how they've been going through alot (wrong answer) I simply told her what happened and that in the future they should call the customer, apologize and let them know of the circumstances. She agreed, but again said that her hands were tied in being able to offer anything free. I've been in the restaurant industry for 21 years and there's a right and wrong way to handle these types of situations so you don't end up getting a terrible review. So far great coffee (medium roast whole bean bag) and lemon bars. However, this also isn't the first time I've experienced subpar customer service. Either way, it's real simple, a genuine apology and something on the house. Still waiting on a phone call to resolve the matter so I can take this review down.

The coffee is terrific and the food is too! Just the regular drip coffee is perfectly “bean juice” and the breakfast burritos are big and filling.This is my new go-to spot! The prices and the quality are far better than Bird Rock Roasters, Better Buzz, and Skybound Coffee in Vista!

Nice atmosphere, very nice barista, but quality control on the beans is maybe the worst I’ve ever seen. I bought a bag and it had many half roasted beans, beans with major defects and I even found a small stone that would have broke my 400$ grinder if I didn’t look closely. The coffee had mold taste which is from the bean defects that should have been sorted before roasting. Sorry to throw you guys under the bus but it’s a simple fix to greatly improve quality.

When you walk in you should be told, to order first. Because some places wait for you to sit then someone will come over and ask to help you. Whether inside or outside, service is important. And if there are no servers, a simple sign stating “ Please make your first before sitting down. Other than that the atmosphere was good, the food was good, my drink was excellent, full of flavors.
