The service person who helped me looked miserable, no eye contact, no hello, no nothing.I seriously considered leaving 0%.Only did not do it because it’s against my principles.

Best tasting healthy food

As a local franchise, it’s great to see Poki One N Half in San Marcos. Though not a large store, it’s well-organized with a spacious food bar and a comfortable dining area featuring long benches and chairs.

This spot is all about fresh seafood and customizable poki bowls. You can choose your portion size: Kid (1 scoop of protein), Small (2 scoops), Medium (3 scoops), or Large (4 scoops). I opted for the Large, selecting a mixed green salad base. Popular proteins like tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, Cali mix, and shrimp are complemented by options like tofu and diced chicken breast.

The wasabi mayo sauce stood out as my favorite, adding a flavorful kick. I also added crab meat and extra toppings like crispy crumbles and seaweed, which elevated the bowl to perfection.

This is truly a satisfying meal option, combining freshness, variety, and customization in a cozy environment. Perfect for poki lovers!

I got severe food poisoning from eating here. Unfortunate, because the food tastes good and I have gone plenty of times. This time, the food made me very sick. Nausea and diarrhea. It was not a fun emergency room visit.

Went in for Poke on Labor Day. As I walked in, I noticed a really strong fish smell. Before I get any negative feedback, I’d just like to note that Fresh Poke or Fresh fish in general, should not have an extreme “fishy” smell. That is when you know it is close to expiration. I was concerned about the quality of the food, but since I was on a time crunch, I had to just pick something up. Upon eating my to go order, I definitely noticed a near rotten taste to the fish and unfortunately had to throw out my food. I should have followed my instincts. I hope the people who manage the shop take time to look at their inventory as “fishy” fish, nearing its shelf life is a health and safety concern.

As someone who eats Poki all over San Diego and Orange counties, I can unequivocally say that this Poki is the best! The servers are personable, polite and well schooled. Fish is the freshest! Will keep coming back regularly!

I would highly recommend Poke One N Half in San Marcos. The people working there were very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the various fresh items available. The portion sizes were generous and prepared exactly as requested. I will definitely be going back.
