Redtail Catering catered our Majong luncheon yesterday at Ocean Hills County Club. It was delicious. The chicken piccata , pasta, salad and vegetables were great. The cheese cake dessert was awesome. Best catered meal I’ve had in the six years I’ve lived here. I gave my daughter your info. She works at a large law firm in Carlsbad and they bring in food for corporate events. Hope they use you!

We went with Red Tail Catering for our backyard wedding reception. What initially drew us to them was the Santa Maria tri-tip option. We really wanted to do something very "West Coast" for our wedding and this was the perfect dish! Our tasting was INCREDIBLE, and perhaps our best surprise was the quality of the Vegetable Wellington they have as a vegetarian option. It is so delicious and in no way feels like a consolation prize. I was worried too many folks were going to want that over the tri-tip. We hired a chef, server, and bartender for 40 folks and were very well taken care of. Thank you to Chef James and his team! Delicious food at an incredible price point.

If you want five star quality and the most DELICIOUS food ever.... this is the company! So good I even asked for recipes. They were awesome with my allergies and even had a private tasting so I could taste the food altered so I could also enjoy our wedding dinner. Incredibly priced, amazing food, service and presentation! Only place I would EVER recommend.

James and his team are amazing! My husband and I got married on September 5, 2021 at Los Willows and Redtail Catering did all our food. We had plated meals with the filet and sea bass. Oh my gosh, they were SO delicious! The appetizers they made were incredible as well!We didn't want a big cake so James offered to make us a cutting cake for pictures. We aren't the biggest fans of cake but it tasted so good. James and his team also did our chocolate fountain desert table. We chose the Ultimate Chocolate Fountain which included 3 fountains: white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. It also included SO many dipping options, everyone could find something they loved!Thank you so much James, you and your team made our wedding truly spectacular!!

I started planning a Welcome Dinner for my son's event in Escondido 7 months before the date. I searched online and found Red Tail Catering. The reviews were wonderful (and I am a tough critic!), the menu options on their site were fabulous and the background of James Stewart (the owner) won me over. I contacted the company and was connected to James. He listened to my needs, my vision and answered all of my questions (including recommending MANY venues that fit my budget). We mapped out a menu that everyone in my family was happy with (passed appetizers, vegetarian main courses, pasta, a carving station, favorites like the Mediterranean Chicken, perfectly cooked vegetables and multi-flavor cheesecake bites (OMG!). Then I decided to have James and his team also provide the food (in our room at the Welk Resort) for a "girl's getting ready" morning of the wedding, boxed lunches for the wedding party and a large brunch for the morning after the event. They brought EVERYTHING (plates, cups, coffee, beautifully laid out platers, chafing dishes, table clothes, silverware, teas, etc. Every single item, every bite, every meal was delivered on time, deliciously and beautifully prepared and was met with HUGE compliments from my friends and family (in many ways Red Tail's food out-did the wedding meal!). The team is WONDERFUL -- we met many of them during our process and each one exceeded our service expectations. The pricing was incredibly fair, the communications were timely and complete. Proposals were detailed and easy to understand. Changes were met with understanding and support. I highly suggest calling Red Tail to see what they can do for your event before you make any decisions/selections.

James and his catering team provided the hors d’oeuvres and food for my wedding. During the tasting, my husband and I could barely decide what to pick because every single thing was outstandingly delicious. We decided on both the bacon wrapped filet and crab encrusted Seabass. The day of the wedding, the food was JUST as amazing as the tasting was. I still dream about that Seabass! Please open a restaurant haha.
