Had a cold brew. It was very disappointing. It tasted very burnt, I couldn’t really drink much of it.It would really be nice to have more coffee places that focused on brewing, good coffee, and thought about their technique rather than how many creative, sweet drinks they can come up with with a bunch of additives. There are 1000 Starbucks and other types of coffee shops to go to for that.

Carissa made me such a lovely custom south o’ the border! She was so friendly and I really appreciate the effort despite being short staffed (the economy!)But there’s plenty of seating outside and outlets inside!Such a cozy place to work!

I don’t know why, but my drip coffee tasted like they hadn’t cleaned the pot for a whole week, all I could taste was a weird plastic smell. Couldn’t even drink it unfortunately. My husband got a cold brew and it was a bit better. The breakfast egg sandwich was OK. Deli meat was just not the freshest and the avocado wasn’t real avo... It was just packed guacamole, very sour. I would love to go back because it’s close to us. But I don’t think we will. after the first experience

Went for the holiday flight delight. Found out even though this location is bigger than the San Diego locations they do not have any holiday flavors at all or participate in serving the 4 holiday flight flavors. Said they were just a small branch yet have more property space and seating than their other locations. My friend asked for kids temp and I asked for super hot as I personally find most coffee served like warm these days. Baristas laughed, said okay. When served our coffees we asked which was which and her response was “Oh there the same. I thought you were kidding”. Lamest location and service of any Ryan’s Brothers locations. Don’t waste your time, go to the central San Diego, City Heights locations even if it’s a further drive, it’s worth it. Sad representation of Ryan’s Brothers in San Marcos.

I'm not a coffee person but when I do have coffee I love their coffee! During my first semester at Palomar, I had a few hours of break so I would order a coffee, do homework, and enjoy the ambience. I really enjoy spending time there since the ambience is great and so is the service.

Only been here once and willing to give it another try, but I only came here because I wanted to support an independent spot instead of hitting the starbucks up the street, and their espresso was more burnt than starbucks. Pretty disappointed when my drink has an after taste similar to charcoal and had a hard time trying to finish my latte. Atmosphere was nice, price point was great, and baristas were kind.

Lovely baristas, a great vanilla latte (a classic), and cozy spot to read a book or study.

Favorite cozy coffee shop in San Marcos! Drinks are always on point and the staff is friendly. Jenna makes the best drinks and Amanda makes bomb sandwiches. Highly recommend this place!

On the way to the library and thought I would dine in and patronize a local biz. Never returning! I place my backpack at a table, go to order where I'm the only one in line, African-American, and the employee had a hard time ringing up an expresso. The girl took my money and walked away, totally forgetting my order. I'm still standing right near the counter as the employee and her co-worker take other customers' (non African-American btw) orders and made haste to prepare their orders. I had to ask again for my expresso and of course neither of the 2 trashy female employees offered the locked WiFi password to me. No, not going back. My suggestion: Ryan Brothers drug test your workers.
