Always good to dine here with family & friends. Kid friendly. Everyone seems to know everyone else. When we visit here to see our grandkids & family, we make it a point to stop here. Good food & drinks.
I visited SETS recently and while the food was okay, the overall experience was disappointing due to the service.
Our server wasn’t the best. He didn’t check on our table often and my friend had to grab silverware from a nearby table. To make matters worse, he accidentally brought out an extra drink from the bar. Even after acknowledging the mistake, he still charged us for it… which felt like poor customer service in my opinion.
On a positive note, the live music was good and added a nice vibe to the place. Not sure I’d return anytime soon though.
Lettuce wrap app was fantastic
Delicious food, great atmosphere, our server Mason was really great and attentive!! Highly recommend.
My mother saw this place on the news this morning and wanted to try them out, we drove 30 minutes to be met with rude service. The woman with the blonde bald head stood at the counter the whole time bent over and on her phone. When we asked her questions about their menu she answered with an attitude. We ended up walking out and not buying anything. What a waste of time, I’ll never go back to this place.
I went to grab some food with my toddler and my elderly dog (who died of cancer shortly after this incident). My dog made some noises trying to get attention. They made me feel so unwelcomed and uncomfortable. Most of the patrons were ok with it and even complimented her. Some were bothered and moved inside. Regardless, after making many comments about her, they never returned to the table. So I was left with no silverware, napkins, refills, etc. My toddlers spilled her water and we were soaked, yet no one came by or looked my way when I tried to get help. I left crying, with a soaked toddler and my sick dog. My husband (white, well dressed male) was upset with the situation and went to talk to the manager, who apologized and tried to make things better. The same manager who walked past us many times ignoring me and asked the waitress to relay his messages about my dog. Not ok. We’re from the area, dine out regularly, are always next door for chiropractor, dance class, etc., and we will never return to sets. I’d highly recommend crossing the street to Shane’s for great food and service instead!
Food bland. Ordered appetizers, and they came out with the entrees. Food was brought out wrong. Had to hunt server down to get service and tab.
The atmosphere is lively
Had some errands that brought us to San Elijo Hills and decided to grab lunch. We have heard a lot about it from friends and family, so it was a perfect opportunity to check it out. It was amazing! Lovely patio seating, wonderful service and the food was incredible. So much food we have dinner leftover for tonight. We will definitely be back! If you get a chance, definitely stop by. You won't be disappointed!!
I love SETS and I eat there all the time. Tonight I wanted a steak salad ( sub salmon) so I ordered take out. I got home and there was hardly any dressing, or tomatoes. And there was NO candied pecans. This isn’t first time I’ve ordered take out and it was wrong. Pretty disappointed!
Of course I will be back just wish I could order take out and be assured I receive what I ordered. Thank you.
Staff and ownership took good care of my wife and I during a busy happy hour. Food was great. We’ll be back!

I ordered the chicken & waffles, but it wasn't anything special. I'd definitely rather have Roscoe's... But my friends all ordered different dishes, & they all liked their choices. Atmosphere is nice. Service is good. I'll just try ordering something different next time.

We had high hopes for our dinner, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. My husband and I put our name in at 6:50 and were quoted a 15-20 minute wait, which seemed reasonable for a Saturday evening. However, after waiting for an hour, it became clear that we had likely been skipped. We had to ask the host about our table, and only then were we seated right away. While she did apologize, it would have been helpful to receive a more accurate wait time upfront—we likely wouldn’t have waited that long if we had known.
Once seated, our server was friendly, but it seemed like things got lost in the shuffle. We ordered wings with our drinks, but after 30 minutes of waiting, I had to ask the host to check on them because we were getting hangry. No one communicated what the delay was, and our wings finally came out shortly before our entrees. Additionally, we had to ask for water three times, which added to our frustration.
This was our second time dining here, and unfortunately, both experiences have been less than great. We wanted to enjoy it, but the long wait and lack of communication made it hard to fully enjoy our experience.

Nice little "fake town" location in the middle of nowhere. Good happy-hour options, but need to thicken up that queso sauce a bit.
