I grew up in San Marcos and I've been going here since the 90s. It is easily my favorite sandwich stop. If you want a big meaty sandwich i recommend the Big Kahuna

I’ve been coming here for over a decade. It’s my favorite sub shop. I can’t express how great all the subs are. The service is always phenomenal. I just gotta say this - I get everything is expensive now a days. To me, this place symbolizes that good old mom and pop local business. With that being said, I will never (with these current prices) ever come back. Two sandwich, two chips, two drinks. $52. Absolutely outrageous. A small business that understands the meaning of working households charging this much for sandwiches? The absolute audacity. Nothing but the best, guys, but that’s just not realistic in my world.

I don’t know how the sandwich spot is still in business, at first, I thought I was at a submarine and then realize that it just used a very similar name, the sandwiches were so small and had almost 0 flavor, I’m not sure why there’s so many positive reviews. Maybe everybody likes very bland food, my coworker recommended going to Rocking Jennies subs and I did and it was way better and I don’t know who they have working for them, but they are very rude

I really want to love this place, as it's a local mom n pop shop and convenient for sandwiches, however, this is the second time in the last 3 months we have been overcharged.

Today I ordered a "lite lunch" 3" Tuna which includes a drink. I also ordered a 6" Ham and cheese combo- I ordered an extra bag of chips to complete both meals and was charged for 2 drinks + a medium combo. In short, I was charged for an extra drink at 2.90

The last time we came, we ordered 1 Meatball, 2 ham n cheeses, and made 2 a combo. All sandwiches were 6", however we were charged 2 combos and 2 drinks.

Either combo only means chips, which is 4.85 for a bag, or we are getting double charged for drinks.
