This place is SUCH a hidden gem in San Marcos. We were blown away by the freshness and incredible combo of flavors each fish and roll had to offer!!!

Their Sushi Combo B ($36) which comes with 8pcs of sushi and one speciality roll is perfect if you want a balance of nigiris and a roll! Each piece of fish was sooo good!!

Another great shareable item if you wanna treat yourself a bit is their Sashimi Combo A ($21) which has 9 pcs of sashimi (salmon, tuna and yellowtail)...not exaggerating but im obsessed w their salmon and yellowtail

If you're a big popcorn chicken fan from TapEx, the karaage from Sushi On kind of resembles that, and I LOVE IT!!!

I used to not like rolls because I felt like often times there were too much fillers and it was always average, BUT at Sushi On, it feels like they have unique takes and flavors in their rolls that is not only super good and enjoyable but also at a fair price. Their specialty rolls are on average $15-$16!

Can't wait to come back!

We have been coming here for the past month every single weekend. My husband and I get different rolls every single time we have gone. 2 regular rolls and 2 house rolls and not one has disappointed us. They are all super delicious and fresh. There baked mussels are SUPER delicious as well. Definitely are favorite place to eat sushi. And the service very good too.

Tried Sushi On in San Marcos and really enjoyed it. The sushi was fresh and nicely presented, with a good variety of rolls and nigiri. The portions were generous, and the flavors balanced well without being too heavy. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere felt casual but modern, making it a nice spot for both a quick bite or a sit-down dinner. Prices were fair for the quality, and we’ll definitely come back to try more of the specialty rolls.

We always enjoy coming to Sushi Ono—the food is consistently excellent—but the real reason we keep returning is Christina. Her service, attentiveness, and professionalism truly stand out. She makes every visit feel special, and you can tell she takes pride in her work and is genuinely excited to be part of such a successful restaurant. Christina is the kind of person who turns a great meal into a memorable experience.

We tried multiple sushi restaurants in the north county area but this is the best spot.

The sashimi is so fresh and the mango salmon roll is very balanced!

The chicken katsu meat is also very tender and the coating is crispy.

All the staff were friendly and the service was prompt.

I would definitely go here again.

So happy we ran into this spot (our new favorite) sunrise roll was amazing!! Poke salad 🥗 best I've ever had! Christina was fantastic, answered all my questions about the menu and was so sweet! We will be back for the food and 💯 service!
