Great local spot for beer with friendly service and regular food trucks throughout the week. Thursday is one of our favorites as the pizza place that comes through has excellent wood fired pizza.

This places beers are so amazing I bought almost $200 with of beer to go. Great ambiance, guy serving the beers was very knowledgeable and over the top helpful. I hesitate giving this review because I want to keep getting some of these limited beers just for myself.

Bad IPA and bad server attitude.

Beer was good hence 2 stars- dispute the place smelling like some type of cleaning product, the place was dirty and worn looking - weeds growing everywhere in court yard -equipment pilled in corners ect - Only customer and was treated like we were a bother.

Love the relaxed vibe and the food truck is sooo good. Anything on the menu is great. Outside has enough shade and sunshine whichever you choose with heat lamps for nighttime

Always stop and visit an abbey. Most have their one unique craft or art that they sell and it's excellent quality. Very nice grounds. very calming environment

This is our second time driving 20 minutes to this location, only to be told AGAIN that they were closing early on a SATURDAY night. What's the point of being open if you can't grab a beer after 8 on a Saturday evening? Ended up going to Belching Beaver instead. Come on Lost Abbey, do better. People like going out after 8pm on a weekend, don't let your bartender close shop because he feels it's too slow and just wants to go home.
Fantastic brewery! Always great food trucks out front and there are a good variety of beers and other beverages, to cover many tastes. I love their Tiny Bubbles, which is a bit sour, but not super sour. There is seating inside, out front, and in the back. I recommend early, around 4:30, if you want your choice of seating, and no wait for the food. One of our favorite hidden gems, in the middle of the cute village of San Elijo Hills. You can even cross the street, and head out afterwards for a beautiful sunset walk up the trail behind the middle school, or in the other direction toward the park, on some of the many trails in the area, before heading home.

Their belgian blonde, double red ale, sours, and czech pilsner are amazing! It is one of our favorite friday night hang-out spots. They have reasonable prices and a good amount of seating, too!

Simply the best place to come and enjoy a quality brew in a great vibe environment.

Nice place to have a pint in beautiful downtown San Elijo.

Great beer and ambience. We sat next to the outdoor fireplace on a cold evening while enjoying a flight of our favorite Lost Abbey brews. They let us bring some sandwiches from across the way, which was a great bonus. I highly recommend the Sanctuary.
They have 4 ounce pours. Build a flight of beers.
Easy open space to enjoy
