I love a classic diner!! This place reminds me of dinner at Grandmas house. They have fresh squeezed orange juice and if that is not enough reason to go, check out their Elvis room.A touch on the pricey side, but everything is right now.

Old but charming still. Clean enough. Nice staff, local place. Decent food. Would go back when in the area.

Service (5/5): greeted immediately and our server waved us over to our table. Frequent offers to refill our coffee and our food brought out in 20 minutes. Ambience (4/5): Old timely lamps, counter stools, booths, hospitable feel, low lighting, but the best feature was the vintage person-operated orange juice squeezer that was constantly creating fresh squeezed OJ. Food(3/5): weak coffee, bland food. The bacon of my BLT stood out as crisp and tasty. No complaints about the British burger and fries or pork chop and hashed browns other than they were fairly bland. Overall 3.5/5.

Been coming here for over 15 years and to this day, the best tuna melt I've ever had has been here.

It's usually empty but crowded on Sundays. The oj is delightful . Elvis room interesting .

The food was ok., but nothing special. I had the fish&chips. Small portions, high inflation. The place has an certain ambiance about it. It is located in an extremely wealthy, very nice location. The service was poor, though.

A blast from the past. It is a remnant from the '50's. They serve decent American comfort food. Their prices are not overpriced like all post Covid restaurants. Hope they will continue on for many more decades.

Worst experience the last 2 times. Thought I'd give them a second chance but sadly I won't be returning. They were really good before (been going for 15 years) then went down hill on food but now both food and service was terrible. Being a business owner myself it's important to train your team! My 92 year old mom ordered the chili bean omelet. The server made sure to correct her that it was a chili omelet. It came and had beans so not sure why such a big deal being made. I ordered pork chop. Used to have 2 now just 1 and super thin and over cooked. Ordered my eggs over medium got it over easy. Ordered a pancake was ok. Where we sat down we can see the kitchen so I motioned for the server to come to the table. She said "what do you want?" From the kitchen. I motioned again since I didn't want to scream. She moved half way closer so I told her we need syrup for the pancakes. She apologized for not bringing it. I asked if they had oatmilk for my coffee. She answered like of course what a dumb question but then she realized I was saying oat milk not oatmeal and she answered again like what a stupid question " no we don't have any". The server was not about customer service. The food was horrible Sorry to say I'm not returning San Marino needs some better restaurants for the type of neighborhood

I never like leaving bad reviews but my extremely delayed takeout experience at Colonial Kitchen warranted this. I was hosting an event and put in an order 2 days before my event to make sure the restaurant knew beforehand. I received a phone call the day before my event letting me know that my order was confirmed. Great! Everything seemed to be running smoothly. On the day of my event, I called to see if I could adjust my pick up time 30 minutes earlier or if I could dine in at the time I put instead of picking up. I was told that both options were not possible; I could understand as this was a last minute request. I went to pick up my order at the time I had requested and the order was not ready. I waited for 45 minutes before my order was brought out. No explanations or apologies were given. The delay completely derailed my event. I make it a point to support local businesses and I understand that delays happen but the lack of communication and the fact that my order was 45 minutes late highlights the lack of customer service. Do not recommend for anyone who needs to pick up in a timely fashion.

I really wanted to like this place, the staff were very friendly and accomodating but the food was sub par, I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the pigs in blankets. I sent back the biscuits because the gravy tasted like it came from a can and had no flavour it was almost a rue and the pigs in blankets need to be made with bigger sausages, the tiny chipolata links used just got lost in the huge thick fluffy pancackes. I liked that we could sit outside with the dog :)

Wait: Came here for a late lunch! There was no wait and we were seated right away. The restaurant definitely has an old school diner vibe. Parking: There is plenty of street parking & they also have a lot! Service: Our waitress took our order super quickly. Food came out in about 10-15 minutes and the waitress always came to check with us to see if we needed anything. Food: I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs because I was craving pasta. Unfortunately, I don't think this was the best spot to get pasta at! It was a bit by bland, and the garlic bread tasted a bit off. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles which I took a bite off and I definitely regretted not ordering this instead. The chicken was sooo tasty and crispy. Full of flavor. I'd come back again but would definitely try something else.

I been there a couple of times with my wife and everything was great until last time with a different wait staff then usual and from moment we walked in we were judged on how we looked took 30 minutes to bring us drinks meanwhile serving other tables that came after us when the food came after all the other tables been served the wait staff immediately puts the check on our table while all other customers are sitting comfortably without being rushed out the door
