The blueberry pancakes are delicious. The eggs Benedict is tasty as well. The Macha is sweet so I asked for 50% sweet only but that's only because it's my preference.

Service was great. The breakfast burrito with chips and salsa was pretty good. The blueberry pancakes were, unfortunately, not good at all. There were very few blueberries. And the pancakes were very cakey, maybe not cooked enough? And the flavor was bland. But the maple syrup served in an open small bowl was the bigger disappointment. It was strangely oily... like literally had a film of oil and oil bubbles. Not sure if they were adding butter to it, or (and I sincerely hope not) they reused it from someone else's table? But it was not even sweet like maple syrup. Breakfast for 2 was just under $60. Enough of a disappointment for us to not return.
Update: decreased to 1 star for an offensive and condescending response from Mari Vees to my honest review. Absolutely unnecessary but very telling about the owners. Thank you for being transparent.

We were thoroughly impressed with Mari Vee, its comfortable dining space. Our waiter Fabian was friendly and helpful. It was our first time and won’t be our last . The presentation was everything. the portions were very good. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

I ordered the club sandwich. It had honey ham which I wasn't expecting. I wouldn't have ordered it if it was mentioned on the menu.
The bread was toasted to the point it was hard and dry.
The cheese....it was dry and crumbly. It broke apart so easy. The edges were dark like too much air got to it. It just wasn't good.
I am a huge pancake fan (twoheys, Joan's on 3rd, Jack n Joe's, dupars, pantry). The pancakes came out hot and fluffy yet they were the oddest tasting pancakes I ever had. It tasted like a boiled omelette. I cannot figure out how to properly describe it but they were dense, not fluffy but looked fluffy, had no "pancake" flavor but rather tasted like boiled scrambled egg. I took one bite and thought I was tripping. I took a second bite and I realized I wasn't.
The service was slow. We asked for water and the woman walked by. We asked again and she said "no one brought you water." My fries came out a bit hot and cold. We didn't finish our meals. We called it a loss and got smoothies instead.
Also, they only have maple butter and maple syrup. No regular syrup.

Decent coffee but unreasonable food prices. It was crowded and the servers were clearly overwhelmed.

Some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had! Well seasoned and full of flavor. My boyfriend said the pancakes were excellent as well. It’s a little loud in the dining area (you can hear noise from the kitchen) and the iced latte is basically a glass of milk, but overall it was a pleasant dining experience and we will definitely be back for the food.

I had the all American and my wife tried the country fried steak. Both were superb, highly recommend as a simple brunch spot. Everything also priced reasonably.
