I’ve been to the DTLA Arts District location so many times, so I was shocked (in the best way) to discover this one so close to home. The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. Blindfold me and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
The only thing to keep in mind is that pizza by the slice can add up — if you’re thinking of grabbing more than two, a fresh pie might be the smarter move. Either way, I’m thrilled to have another amazing spot nearby!

The pizza was delicious . Always nice for pizza sold by the slice!
I came to this location for the first time and it’s a lot smaller than i thought. It’s a very different vibe compared to dtla location, different crowd: i like the other one better. The vegan pizza was good, i got the pepperoni and sicilian cheese. No alcohol at this one for those who drink.

This place is nice, a bit small, cramped inside eating at tables so close to the register, and they have a mini skateboard shop within the restaurant. Nice concept but defeats the food concept when the skate shop takes up half the space. IDK, this one is only if you have to have pizza and you cannot drive another 2 minutes down the street where there's a Mama's pizza, blaze pizza, dominos pizza, tomato pie pizza all but 2 minutes away from this location. Just saying. Go here if you're into skateboarding. Otherwise keep going into South Pasadena more and you'll find better and more options.

They make the best pizza in SM, Alhambra, and Pasadena. The sauce is superb, the crust is great tasting, and there are many types to enjoy. There are also lots of vegan options.

Best vegan pizzas I’ve had! And friends like being able to have nonvegan by slice. We will be back
Such a great spot, they always have cool merch. But more importantly, the pizzas are so good. Best pizza in LA.
Service is great also.
Great spot to grab a slice of pizza. Outdoor seating is nice and dog friendly.
As a vegan family, finding a pizza place that caters to all of us and delivers on flavor can be tough. BUT Pizzanista in San Marino never disappoints! This spot has become our absolute favorite for pizza nights, and for good reason.
Our usual order? The Vegan Sicilian Pepperoni Pizza (crispy, thick, and packed with flavor), the Vegan Margherita Pizza (classic, simple, and oh-so-good), and we always start with the vegan garlic knots because, well, they’re irresistible.
What really makes Pizzanista stand out, though, is the experience. The head chef/owner/partner (not exactly sure, but he runs the show!) is always welcoming, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do. His energy makes every visit even better.
With pizza joints on every corner, we always choose Pizzanista when the cravings hit. The quality, the flavors, and the friendly vibes keep us coming back. If you’re vegan (or just love great pizza), this place is a must-try! 🍕 - M A R K
Every bite was tasty quality over quantity! Service is really friend and they move fast
