The San Mateo outpost of the BBQ joint. Their dry-rubbed ribs are decent but the highlight is really the grilled chicken! Friendly and helpful staffs and quick service.
For BBQ it's pretty solid around here, but it's not like Texas. I had the brisket sandwich. Very good, lots of meat no skimping so totally worth your money. I think the best menu item was the chili though. That tasted like a Texas BBQ classic. I would definitely go back for that.
First time @ 3P BBQ and it won’t be my last. First and foremost, the service! Isaiah was a total rockstar! He helped me on the phone with finalizing my order through the app, walked me through the menu and suggested some of his favorites, and just could not have been more inviting through the whole experience. He recommends the fried chicken and collard greens the next time since I ordered the ribs and tri tip. The meat was so succulent— had me drooling before every bite. The potato salad was hit as well. Everything was so fresh! Isiah freshly made my watermelon feta salad, packed my sides to the brim, sprinkled sesame seeds on my coleslaw, and so much more. I’m definitely sold and would 1000% recommend 3Pigs for to help satisfy any bbq cravings and get your delish, juicy, meat fix!!!
Awesome briskets!
Delicious! Loved the ribs and brisket. All the BBQ sauces are great.
Great staff, mediocre chili, decent cornbread but flavorless dry fried chicken.
I go there for the Fried chicken!
We ordered potato salad, baked beans, pulled tri tip and pulled pork. Very delicious
I had there a try tip sandwich with their signature chili and it was absolutely delicious. I drive for a living so I am constantly on the road in different cities and I try different places every time. I stumbled up on this place looking for a place to eat and everything on the block with salad or healthy and I don’t do that so barbecue it was. Pleasantly surprised and will go back again if I’m in the area
Extremely bland bbq. No smoke flavor whatsoever. They give you a huge portion for your money, but the quality isn't there.

The chili Mac and cheese was bland no flavor, the tri tip was the same the bread was the same the coleslaw the same they forgot our fountain drinks but when I went back they give me a bottle coke the staff was professional and nice too bad I had high hopes for this place since it was closer I sometime drive an hour away to Santa Cruz for mission street bbq their smokers are out side this place had no smokers in their back patio I’m guessing it’s all oven cooked
I ordered the fried chicken, beef brisket, corn bread, baked beans and mac n cheese. The chicken thighs, wings and drumsticks were almost dry but the breast were terribly dry.The brisket had no smoke bbq flavor but tasted oven cooked. But was moist. The cornbread and beans were fantastic. The macaroni and cheese was dry.
They had outdoor seating. Ribs and brisket were very good. Loved their cornbread.
This business obviously doesn’t care about their customers. We never received our food. They blamed the delivery service. What do you expect us to do? It isn’t our fault? You can call them to sort it out. All it would have taken was a oh gosh I’m so sorry how can we help response. Instead we had to send someone to pick up cold, hardly edible food. Will never be giving them my business again.
The most delicious barbecue I have ever eaten at a barbecue spot! Hands down! I will definitely be back!
