It's been a minute since we last visited All Spice and we wondered why as it is just so magnificent! The menu has been changed since our last visit and we did the 4 course dinner, me choosing two appetizers, the beet soup and shrimp, and my husband choosing two mains - the gnocchi and steak. The environment was quiet and private, which made for a comfortable dining experience. Service was attentive without being pushy or overwhelming — something I really appreciated. However, almost all of the dishes tasted quite similar. I usually prefer bold flavors, but even for me, many items came across as overly salty, whether from the seasoning of the ingredients or the sauces themselves. Like the flexibility of the hybrid prix fixe menu - first time I saw this. One can choose 3/4/5 items from the food list. The restaurant is inside a (retrofitted) cottage and has an intimate vibe.
