Hmm... just wondering if this place still exists... I live down the street and drive by it every day and have never seen it in operation... I've been purposely looking consistently for the passed 3 years and no sign of a open business. All the "lettuce" on the exterior of the building has been wilted and it's run down from sitting there from abandonment. I have also called the number multiple times and no answer. Wondering how this place isn't on the market for sale as I know plenty of good businesses that can flourish here. I also would love a good salad from here, but we'll never know if that will ever happen either.

This place definitely still exists. Cutest little 100 sq ft standalone shack cranking out whatever Mike wants to make which will be indubitably delicious! His hours are unabashedly irregular( esp during Covid )which is part of its charm. Looking forward to many surprise garden fresh meals here!

I have been looking for a this place for years because it has amazing 5 star reviews. This very moment I am parked out front of a business that does not exist. There is a 3172 and then it goes to 3176. 3174 does not exist. In the past I have driven all around and even on the back side and never located the business. I have tried to locate this place 4 times over many years. Each time I have called and left a message and each time the reviewing states that I have reached Big Lettuce. Never once have I revived a call back from them. This is the first time I am looking for them post pandemic. All the other times were long before the pandemic started. I just left them a message telling them I was going to one Star them. I am sure this tome they will get back to me because of that. I am happy to leave a good review once I can find them and eat at their restaurant.

Want to thank Michael for the love and hospilality today! He was closing up but made an amazing effort to make my wife and i feel at home. His food is amazing! A must try in the area! We are from San Diego but will definitely come back. Bless Charlie and Sina

This is like some sort of mystical salad shrine up on a hill near the college. While I've been known to make the occasional pilgrimage to Pluto's in Palo Alto, this is the real deal for greens, including a hermit-like curator who only comes out specific hours of the day. Or season? It might help to repeat a useful Romaine or Arugula chant to open the doors, not sure. Didn't try, cause I was able to grab two robust salads before time ran out. A beet-forward salad and another of some local lore with slivers of Asiago. No set goals, I think these may have been semi ad hoc concoctions from a rough plan. Nonetheless delicious and possibly including an addictive herb making me crave another batch today. Or maybe just a garlicky crouton or two. All the same. Anyways, as Nacho Libre would say, "Be grateful, Juan Pablo. Today is especially delicious." And I can affirm it was.

This place is amazing! The best quality and healthiest salads in town. If you have the opportunity to eat what this man can put together, consider yourself blessed!

Fresh and delicious! Liked how they had fresh farm eggs and it was added to my caesar salad! Definitely going to try soups next time!

I had lunch from here for the first time today and I'm so bummed that I didn't come here sooner! Michael is so friendly and clearly knows what he is doing as a chef. I had an arugula salad that was a to-die-for combination of fresh ingredients and tangy vinaigrette. He also had a spicy black bean soup available, so I tried that as well. Equally delicious! It's a small place but big on flavor! I'll definitely be back and can't wait to try new menu items.

You want to eat here. Delicious food, freshly prepared, reasonably priced. I had a spicy Vindaloo curry soup served with bread. It was flavorful and the vegetables weren't mushy. The hearty bread was lightly toasted or fried. A perfect light lunch! I'll be back. I feel lucky I arrived just before closing; thank you Yelpers for explaining how it works. The chef and owner, Michael, keeps his own hours and why not? It works for him and for locals. So I'll stop by when I can and be happy to eat at Big Lettuce when it's open. Probably weekdays during lunch hours are most likely, but he said he also sometimes does omelets in the mornings. It's in a nicely upgraded kiosk on the edge of the parking lot, with a little herb garden on the outside back wall and a couple picnic tables. All the food packaging is compostable.

Definitely going back! Food is so fresh and well served in all composite/ recyclable packaging. I had the carrots and chick peas soup with mint chutney and warm bread on side. Perfect for fall lunch.
