Pretty solid hot pot though it's hard to get over how expensive these meals can get, depending on how many additional ingredients you order. I ordered their beef hot soup with medium spiciness for takeout during covid-19. The broth had just the right amount of heat and flavor. The beef was reasonably tender. The soup was pretty packed with vegetables (a mini corn on the cob, some greens and mushrooms), fish cakes, and vermicelli noodles. They also included three additional sauces, including some yummy hot sauce. Perhaps the cutest thing was that they branded one of their fish cakes with "I❤️BP" ("I love Boiling Point" lol)

I'm glad that we can still do take out even during covid. This is one of my favorite places to eat! The soup bases and sauces go so well together. I'm happy that they have the option to chose vermicelli again instead of only giving rice! Their complimentary teas during lunch are always good too. Only thing they can work on is their takeout packaging. The soup tends to leak everywhere making a mess.

One of my favorite places to go in the before-times. I love hot pot but also really like having the place where I eat hot pot food without the work (especially when I eat alone). I don't have anything much to say about covid time eating, except that the last time I went they were still closed when restaurants were permitted dine in.

Ordered the signature beef hot soup, and what I got is basically a bowl of Napa cabbage... poor portion as well.. wonder how the business had survived so far with that level of devotion especially during the pandemic time...

The to-go food is horrible. I paid $17 for a bowl of cabbage, four strings of mushroom and a small bite of meat. Ridiculous! I don't know if anyone would order to-go from this place again.

Very bad customer service at this location. I paid $17 for a bowl of hotpot to go and the employees there can't even give me an extra small container of their sauce. They said that it is their company policy and act as if their sauce is golden sauce. Pls wake up and esp at during this time of COVID, tasty pot had the same sauce and their customer service is way better than them. I used to like boiling point a lot and after this encounter, their business policy just turn me off. Will never support this business again. Should be alittle more generous to regular customers. Never again will I support this business.

This is one of my go to hot pot places in the peninsula! I usually order the milk cream curry, while my family gets the beef hotpot. You also have the option to choose the spice level and I usually get nonspicy. For lunch, the hotpot also comes with a complimentary ice green or black tea. I really like the black tea! Each hotpot also comes with a bowl of white rice. During COVID, I have been placing my order through the phone and the order also comes with 3 different packaged sauces and utensils!

This review is for the take-out option during covid.1. They don't give you a lot of soup2. They put everything into the bowl and the lid is loose. of the 3 times i ordered, the soup spilled 2 times. 3. Taiwanese spicy is a Large, but they use the same regular bowl as other orders, so you are getting less.4. If you ask for extra soup; it costs $2 for the base soup, not the flavored kind.should be a little more generous to loyal customers

Take out tastes the same as eating inside. Portions wise, I feel it has alot less meat and filled with cabbage or other vegetables.

We were skeptical about taking out hot pot. We have it a try and it tastes great at home!

I like the food but the togo packaging has been bothering me... there's always leak from the sauce containers even after I reminded the staff on the phone. Please try to improve....

I was so glad that they opened one in San Mateo. Before, we used to drive far away to eat BP. I always get #5 medium spicy and sometimes i get #8, the flaming spicy. Both are delicious. Now that we can only order take out, the wait to get the order is a little bit long. So, by the time we got home, it's kinda cold. But during this pandemic, i understand how tough the businesses are to get everything consistent. I like how they do substitution for clear noodle instead of rice. Before when i dined in the restaurant, they only gave rice that came with it. Now they are very nice to ask if we want rice or noodle. I really appreciated for doing that. We really cant wait to go back in for dine in.

My favorite place for hot pot in San Mateo. ! I've never tired of repeat ordering the curry favor, lamb, beef hot pots.

I've been craving hot pot so much during the COVID crisis and I've never been a boiling point fan before, but their new takeout option is very good. During lunch you still get the complimentary tea (only if you order over the phone not through doordash). And they provide you with sealed utensils and sauces.
