I found Cafe 2k the other day and I'm glad I did. Located at 2000 Alameda de las Pulgas in San Mateo in an office complex. They have plenty of great choices for breakfast and lunch. There was a line at lunch but it moved pretty fast. I recommend Cafe 2k.

Just moved into the alameda building in May and was pleasantly happy to see a nice little kiosk setup...they have a set menu but will customize your order. Love the hash browns, croissants, home baked goodies and muffins for breakfast. Great selection on salads...chicken caesar salad and veggie salad are my faves. And if you need an afternoon booster, they have delish smoothies. Glad they made it through the pandemic :)

Met Omar and Maria today while getting breakfast. They recognized me as new to the building, welcomed me, and were really friendly the entire time I was there! The burrito and mocha were really tasty

Nicest staff. And my god, best BLT ever. They reopened only 3 weeks ago and I hope they never close again cuz I’ll be there pretty much every week now.

I usually like to stop by here for a quick cup of coffee and bite to eat when visiting a friend who works in the building. Super friendly service and fresh sandwiches which hit the spot. Today, I had the roast beef with cheddar on whole wheat. There are multiple areas to sit, visit, and eat, including small tables in the atrium and benches outdoors. Free parking in the garage below.
