I have dealt with Tim and his team, both personally and professionally, for over 15 years. Their food is top notch and we'll priced, whether it be a chuck wagon buffet or a three course, plated sit-down meal. But what set them apart is their service. They are always willing to go above and beyond expectations when it comes to your event, and in the odd case where something isn't quite right, they do what it takes to satisfy you - their client. Long overdue review! California Catering is the Catering company that caters the food for the Elks Lodge in San Mateo. I've been the party planner for the last 4 years for the club that I belong to and I have been working side by side with California Catering and hope to continue for many more years. The club I belong to has been hosting their annual holiday party for MANY years here. Manager: Tim, the manager for California Catering is the best. He is very accommodating, listens to your needs, works with you and is responsive. One of the nicest guys you can work with. Service: The servers are very professional and accommodating. I want to give a shout out to Alejandro who has been the lead on the nights of our parties. Food: We've always had a sit down plated dinner service. The last 2 years, I opted for the buffet as it was cost efficient and worth every penny. I always worry that there isn't enough food when served buffet style, but you never have to worry about it with California Catering. There is enough food for people to go back for seconds. December 2019, I threw in a prime rib carving station with it. The carving station was a hit and the meat was cooked to perfection and my guests raved about it. Cost: The cost is very reasonable. If you do this at a hotel you will pay double the amount. Although many people prefer hosting it at a hotel because they can stumble their way to their room and not worry about drinking and driving, there is uber and lyft for everyone's convenience. Bar: They have a bar in the banquet room which makes it convenient. They don't have to set up a bar service. Parking: Tons of parking in the parking lot. Dance Floor: The dance floor is pretty big and they just remodeled slightly by changing out their flooring to match the new coat of paint on the walls. I've held a Casino Night Themed Party and the casino tables were on the dance floor I've held a Murder Mystery Themed Party The last two years, I've had a live band come in to entertain the group You can't go wrong with California Catering.

We just finished a memorial for our son who recently passed away. Tim Cirigliano, the Catering Manager was a great help. He worked with us on the room size and menu.The food was excellent and there was plenty to go around. We had planned on eighty but probably more showed up during the event and everyone was able to eat. Tim provided us with four tables and three easels to display pictures. The room was recently refurbished with new paint and carpets. I would highly recommend California Catering for you event.

This is a wonderful catering company ! Tim was the gentleman who helped me with everything I needed for the menu , he's super kind and outgoing and also very professional .. fabulous selection of food and everyone at the party absolutely loved it ! They have diff price points to work with so know that there will be something for your budget and the food will taste great ! The two gentlemen that came to set up were very professional and kind . I would highly recommend this company for your catering needs ! I will definitely be using them again in the future . Thank you California Catering company .
