This was a great place! We loved it very much. We are from out of the area and enjoyed this cozy little café. It is so clean and the restrooms are beautiful. The inside is welcoming and the staff is simply amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough. Please go and then go again! Because you'll want more. Thank you for a great adventure. So delicious and affordable! We got two fiesta bowls, one with the pollito mojito and another with the vaca frito. Just the rice and beans were delicious and fragrant, so with the toppings, meat, and sauces, it was amazing. Very nutritious and almost everything is gluten free. Highly recommend!

This is a small family run restaurant with a taste of old Cuban food. The Cuban lechon sandwich was tasty, but relative small. Ordered the rice and bean plates with meat. Noticed that there were no vegetables with the order. They only have a dish with broccoli. The yuca fries were very well prepared.

As a Cuban, this is the worst cuban food i have ever had, the meat is dry, the mushrooms are canned, the rice is served cold, and the plantains are sour.
The decor and interior is pretty, but i will never go back, the food was horrible. And thats not even mentioning the price.

This was the most delicious, authentic Cuban food I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever. It nearly brought a tear to my eye as it brought back so many memories of my mother’s cooking and family gatherings. I ordered the white rice, black beans, lechón, maduros, flan, and a cortadito. All of it was perfection, with a great environment and excellent service to match. This restaurant is simply a MUST and was well worth the trip to San Mateo.

This is a very cool spot for Cuban food. We usually get appetizers, entrees and dessert here. For dessert: guava pastry with a cafe cubano is amazing 😘. My go to entree is the ropa vieja bowl but everything is delicious.

We got the cubano sandwich and it was beautifully constructed with a great balance of acid from the mustard, saltiness from the pork luchon and sliced meat, creamy, and great crunch from the perfectly toasted bread. We also got the plate with beef and onions main and a side of beans and yellow rice. Meat looked dry but it actually didn't taste dry with really tasty charted parts and great flavors. With the beans, perfectly cooked rice, and delicious sauces, I was really satisfied. We also got the mint mohito limeade which was carbonated and delicious.
