Update - the waitress was apologetic and offered me a free drink for the long wait. In addition, the burrito is quite good. So, the service is slow, but the food is good. 30 minutes for a vegetarian burrito. And the restaurant was mostly empty. I essentially turned to a skeleton in my seat waiting. The sun set. The seasons changed. Turned out that somehow they took my order and my money but didn't submit the order into the system. When I asked how much longer it would take, I couldn't get an answer. Wait, you work at a Mexican restaurant and you don't know how long it will take to make a vegetarian burrito? The least the waitress could do would be to offer me a complementary drink or something while I'm waiting and for my time, which was considerable. 1 star right now, prior to getting my burrito. If it's above average, I'll raise the rating. otherwise, no way I'm coming back here unless I'm on vacation or retired.

Food is so yummy! I had the chicken enchilada with rice and refried beans with the macha horchata. I will return to try other dishes. I can tell that they take pride in what they serve.

I want to like this place but they are chronically understaffed. Food takes forever to come out and they don’t let you know how long it will take when ordering.

Stopped here on the way back to our hotel for a quick lunch.Hot chips and salsa at help your self style bar was just the start of a great food experience.I ordered two different types of tacos and both were equally brilliant. It's very unassuming from the outside, but I can not recommend it enough.

Generous customer service! The Interior and exterior of the restaurant are well designed with fun decorations. I always get their juicy chicken burritos and quesadillas that come in large portion sizes .

Food is really good and plentiful! Burritos are giant and very tasty. We have tried the veggie burritos only, they have a chile relleno twist on the veggie burrito that I loved. I don't eat meat but their meat options would likelybe good too. Chips are also great, crispy and they taste fresh. The place is small but it's nice to sit here, if you like the casual vibe. People are very warm and nice. As other people said service is slow but still giving 5 stars because of the other positive points. I hope they can work on the service speed but in the mean time order ahead or don't go there if you are in a rush.

Alright, if you're ok with a super long wait time for your food, then this place is really really good. It was our second time ordering from here, and today I tried their super burrito with birria. So good! Husband got the birria quesadilla which was delicious too, and his spicy salsa was super spicy. Good thing I got the mild spicy.First time we came, the wait was maybe 30min, and we def saw people who had takeout orders but still wait after arriving. Today, we didn't pick up until 40min later, and even then, they told us another 10-15min. So, 55min from the time we placed an order?? That was a bit long esp since we had people over today too. Won't stop us from ordering in the future, but we def can't come back if we want our food faster!

Omggggg... the birria soup is an experience. Ramen with birria!? And childhood dreams in a cup with mazapan latte... they are super nice and will explain the menu. I'm coming back!

Del Oro Taqueria delivered some seriously tasty birria tacos. The flavors were on point, and the accompanying sauce was a game-changer, adding that extra punch. What stood out were their hot sauce options - a diverse selection that turned up the heat just right. The staff at Del Oro Taqueria deserves a shoutout for being awesome. Friendly, on top of things, and enhancing the overall experience. If you're on the lookout for a spot with killer birria tacos, a solid sauce game, and a cool vibe, this place is worth a visit. I'll definitely be swinging by for more.

Whoever put this menu together is a great chef because of all the compact flavors and within price ranges.

If you like Mexican food and are near this area, I highly recommend you give Taqueria del Oro a try. Their quesabirrias are outstanding--This Mexican lady definitely approves!

This restaurant is located a few blocks from the San Mateo mall. The ambiance is very casual and the walls are colorful and full of life to represent the culture. Here is what I ordered: 1 Sope de asada - deep fried masa with refried beans, steak and topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream cheese and salsa. I love it! The masa was crunchy and it had a perfect amount of toppings for each bite. My rating: 10 out of 101 Birria Taco - a crunchy tortilla dipped in birria broth, stewed meat and cheese. Served with a yummy stewed broth! I loved this one! It was perfect. My rating: 10 out of 10 1 Corn in a cup: corn with mayonnaise & hot Cheeto dust. I really enjoyed this! The amount they serve is totally worth it as they don't skimp like other places. My rating: 10 out of 10 The service: it was a busy night and only two women working the kitchen and the cashier at the same time ! You can tell this place is family owned. They lacked a little warmth in my opinion and they should have someone just dedicated to cashiering to be more attentive but I can understand them!I was really confused about the tortilla chip/salsa bar as it's hidden so I really wish they would have explained how that worked while placing my order. Can't wait to go back!
