You’ve gotta to try their lengua burrito… the meat is extremely tender, flavorful, and juicyDon’t let the decor fool you. Yes it may not have the best interior design, but the lengua burrito is hands down one of the best burritos I’ve had in recent years. The meat is definitely on par or even better than the ones i had in mexico.

First the highlight: fantastic salsa bar with a variety of fresh salsa types. We got both a regular carne asada burrito and a super burrito with carne asada. The regular was average with a below average amount of ingredients. The super was a little better. The chips were pretty terrible. They and thick, hard and cold. They really need to be heated. Overall: the San Mateo area has a very competitive Mexican food scene and this was just OK as opposed to great.

While the culinary offerings delighted the palate with their delicious flavors, one couldn't help but notice that the prices stretched the boundaries of reasonableness. The ambiance, although charmingly new, echoed with a quiet emptiness. Nonetheless, the amiable staff ensured a pleasant dining experience, delivering each dish promptly to the table. In sum, while it may not have reached the heights of culinary excellence, it remains a decent option for a meal out.

Yummy food. I've tried the shrimp and chicken tacos and guacamole. The guacamole is just the way I like it. Thick and chunky and freshly made. I can't wait to try more yummy food.

Good burritos and lots of seating! I ordered a carne asada burrito and a rice and bean burrito. Both were super tasty and reasonably priced

Love this place! It's my second visit and I'm sold. We've been exploring taquerias around San Mateo. I order a breakfast burrito with chorizo every time, and this is the best one so far. My husband ordered a super burrito and loved it. The guy working at the counter is SO nice, friendly and happy to see you. The decor is festive and inviting. Street parking but I've never had trouble finding a spot.

I paid $25 for super chicken nachos and a small corn quesadilla, I asked for rice on my nachos. And when I got home and got white rice and no guacamole but only a few slices of avocado. Chips were horrible. Very disappointed in my food

Amazing burritos! Really clean area and fast service too. They have a little bar for any toppings you’d like with your food and the staff seem both respectful and friendly. Love coming here after a nice coffee.

Driving down ECR this afternoon, saw this new restaurant and decided to give it a try. My DH and I each had a one soft taco plate with rice and beans, chips and salsa. Pork Taco, tasty and tender, not oily - 10/10 Carne Asada Taco, plentiful, tasty and tender - 10/10 Beans, very creamy, made in house - 10/10 (me) Beans, too creamy - 8/10 (my husband likes his beans a bit thicker) Rice, mildly flavored, perfectly cooked - 9/10 Salsas, made in house and very tasty - 10/10 Service, the young lady who took our order was very pleasant, patient and helpful - 10/10 Price, $8.00 for each taco plate - 10/10 There is a large screen TV above the salsa bar and the volume was set to a nice level; loud enough to hear the performers, but not so loud that we needed to yell to be heard. Great family owned restaurant, we'll be back!!

Tried this new place nearby our house: we got smothered burrito, 3-tacos plate and horchata. Burrito: HUGE. Lotsa fillings and a little thick on the skin. Tacos: lengua, beef cheek, and carnitas. Their lengua and carnitas was amazing. I'll skip the rice and beans though, they're a tad bland. Chips & salsa: their spicy salsa was bomb. Their horchata, on the other hand, was not the best. Service was pretty straightforward, you ordered in the counter and the rest you'll be on your own. The guy seemed nice and knowledgeable about the product. Restaurant was really empty when we were there, so it was pretty quiet. The seating arrangement was ok, with salsa station in the corner. Was a little nice restaurant!

Picked up lunch and loved the freshness and flavor of the food. The location is on a busy stretch of El Camino, so look for the flags outside. Be prepared that you might have to park a block away depending on the time of day. Small but clean dining room. Friendly owner. Burritos were great and the quesadilla was filled with an obscene amount of cheese! Guacamole was fantastic. Will be back!
