Jersey Mike's Subs truly lives up to its stellar reputation. On my recent visit, I ordered the Italian Mike's Way, and I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. Hey, when friends want a Philly cheesesteak, I refer them to Jersey Mike's here in San Mateo on El Camino. So today I was telling two friends I was with hey let's go get a cheesesteak over at Jersey Mike's and boy was I disappointed and they were not too impressed! With seven people working (that I could count) , the one working, the guy on the grill was slower than molasses. We put our order in at 1:07 and didn't get it until 1:26. My friends ordered the giant Philly cheesesteak with only jalapeños on one side and jalapeños were throughout. It says extra cheese - there was barely any cheese on my regular size. When I asked for an extra slice of cheese, the tall guy who I thought was the manager, but was not he said, went to the back and had to ask around, put on a glove like he was going to grab a piece of cheese and then came back to me and said, did you want one piece or two? At that point "I said forget it my subs getting cold as it is." On a positive note, the team looks like they get along great! But when it comes to attention to customer service, somebody needs to train them better or be there and do a check on them. I'm not too sure I'm ever gonna come back, but I do like to give second chances...

Ordered online got there once ready said completed. Wasnt finished till 20min after. Horrible service. Not recommended for anyone to come here. The punk manager name was Sean

Placed an order online, showed up shortly after. My order said it would be ready 15 minutes out. Two of the workers were swamped taking the online orders. The other two were standing there taking im assuming walk in orders.A customer walked in and asked if I ordered I said yes, he proceeded to order his sandwich and they were immediately on his order.On-line ordering is a mess, I got my order shortly after because I explained the situation. I don't blame the workers but something more efficient has to be done. There are too many lunch options nearby to take a gamble and go back

Came here recently just when I needed a quick lunch to grab n go. I ordered the Original Italian Sub on the rosemary bread and it was perfect. I really enjoyed the sandwich served "Mikes Way", which comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, spices , olive oil blend and red wine vinegar. It really took the sandwich to a whole other level! But what really set the establishment apart, was the staff. There were three people working and each one worked on my order. Each one greeted me with a smile, were very welcoming and helped walk me through different menu items as this was my first time there. That sometimes goes unnoticed, but just fortunately nowadays it's not all that common too. A++ to the team and management that set the bar high for quick sandwich spots like this one. Great job!

Came in to grab a sandwich today and settled with a giant #43 Chipotle cheesesteak. The staff was friendly and was nice enough to cut my sandwich in half and wrap it separately. The sandwich cost me with tax $19.35 which seems expensive but is fine when you consider you are getting 2 meals out of it. While I was waiting for my sub, a staff member cleaned my table taking away my water and napkins which I didn't mind because it showed the staff was keeping the dining area tidy. The manager replaced my cup and gave me some new napkins so I could enjoy my meal. Before Jersey Mike's got here I used to go to Jersey Joe''s. The subs were fine but they were all that I knew. While Jersey Mikes is a chain, their subs definitely taste better than Jersey Joe's. This place is well managed and the staff was courteous. I recommend coming here if you want to grab some subs or cheesesteaks for lunch or a ball game!

I visited this restaurant on yesterday and my experience was horrible! I did not get acknowledged when I came in. No one said hi but I noticed a white woman who came in after me was acknowledged. When my cold sandwich was finally made it remained on the board almost 5 minutes before anyone ever dressed the sandwich, when I asked about the long wait no one even acknowledged I had been waiting a long time, not even an “apology.” I noticed also that there were workers on the stove and near the back online order taking counter who were openly texting on their phones instead of addressing orders….. it looked like a lot of young people working with no real mature managing…..terrible experience

Hours show open until 9pm. It is 7:55 and they're closed already. Clearly they do not stay open to posted hours and/or do not update their schedule, either way poor management.

Ordered through doordash and the driver did not pick it up so there was a lot of confusion, leading to my sandwich sitting for 45 minutes. A worker called my phone saying its been sitting there a while and they would actually remake my sandwich and call back when the new driver would pick it up. Best customer service! Good job jersey mikes.

Used app to order and specified sandwich. App said to pickup at 11:58AM. Got there at 11:55. Did not get order until 12:17PM as it was fairly busy. 22 minute wait for fast food that was pre-ordered? To top it off, when I got home, I had specified mushrooms and no peppers. The sandwich has nothing except meat or cheese. No usual onions and no mushrooms. Not worth the trip to pick it up.
