The ambience is Japanese minimalist. Baristas are friendly. But more importantly the coffee is just perfect. My fave coffee spot in San Mateo. There's always a line though and if you want to sit in, good luck. It's a small place with not a lot of seating.

Saw the line for this shop, and I was worried if it was worth the wait. I’m glad to say it was well worth!
They have some very unique drinks and we tried time miso caramel and mission mocha. Mission mocha was hands down the favorite of the two. It had a complex flavor profile that was sweet and spicy. I enjoyed it more pre-mixed compared to after mixing the drink up.
All the drinks are fairly priced, and the wait after ordering is super quick too. I think it was just a few mins after placing the order that we got the drinks.
They have really nice decor like the stickers that we saw. They also play anime on the tv which is always a plus.
I would come here again when I am in San Mateo.

Jason and his team are great and friendly! They always nail it with their pour overs and cold brew coffees. I’ve brought my husband and brother-in-law and they also love their coffee and matcha drinks. I’ve taken their latte art class which was also very informative. 🙌🏻 Bonus: they’re dog friendly and have dog treats that my picky doggo gobbles up every time.

All the drinks were made quickly and tasted great!
The drinks are really good. I loved coming here when they first opened and used to recommend it to all my friends. They also have a decent amount of seating inside with a modern cozy feel. However, as they became more popular and busy, the drink consistency started to decline. Although it's still more hits than misses, I'd only come here now if I happen to wake up early and can beat the rush.
I especially like the matcha, vanilla, and brown sugar lattes.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would. Superb coffee, the coolest nicest staff ever, lovely vibes, always good background music & a wonderful quote on the wall every time you visit. It’s insanely packed on the weekends and there’s often a long line. They also do catering services/pop-ups in offices and companies if needed.
