Gonna give it 4 stars because while the aburasoba is good I'd like them to make mazesoba too, which has more complex ingredients, preparation, and flavor. Mogomogu in Sawtelle, LA sets the benchmark for great mazesoba on the west coast.
In Korea, I would have this same dish, but it was called mazesoba. There, it was honestly some of the best tasting food I had ever had in my life. This place comes in very close to that, and I will absolutely be back to eat here again.
I ordered takeout from Uber eats. I added an additional topping of bok choy to my noodles and all I got was literally one leaf of a bok choy. Not even a full bok choy! This single leaf came in a medium sized takeout container and it looked like the saddest waste of plastic. I felt so ripped off. How could they put that leaf in there and let it sit alone like that?? It needs to be with at least a few other leaves to maintain its identity and integrity as a bok choy.
