We ordered a cake through Kathy’s creative kakes for my son’s first birthday. We asked for a #1 cake with music instruments using “boy” colors and NO rainbows and a smash cake.
-The smash cake was like a rock (we just threw it away) -No options for less sugar, it’s HELLA sweet -Rainbows were everywhere!
Would come again & wouldn’t recommend.

I got some cupcakes that were a day old (I knew that and got a big discount for them), and I had high hopes for them. I was very disappointed that the cakes were not much better than the ones we get at Safeway or Luckys, very dense and not fluffy and moist as I expected. The icing was ok but overall the cupcakes were overly sweet and tasted kind of the same.

Kathy’s created the most incredible mermaid theme cake for our daughter’s birthday! They were so kind and helpful from the first phone call through to the day of pick up. The cake was equally beautiful and delicious! Looking forward to many more wonderful memories with Kathy’s!

It was the beautiful suitcase shaped cake posted here on here page on May 9th.
it got a TON of compliments and everyone loved the funfetti cake inside and the amazing flavor of the fondant!

We ordered 2 dozens of pink cupcakes and asked for the similar as website/review pictures have.You can see from the pictures that what we received is a completely different quality of the decor. It looks very messy and cheap. In addition, half of the cupcakes were overfilled and had a bad shape that could be easily fixed during the cooking but looks like the baker did not care.The cupcakes tasted as the cheapest Safeway stuff. I would avoid this place at all cost.$72 for 24 cupcakes

I first experienced one of Kathy’s cakes when my fiancé got it for my birthday! It was delicious, moist, light, zesty, not too sweet, and had berries interspersed—just how I like it! We loved it so much that we decided to get the same cake for our Sonoma wedding! Kathy was a pleasure to work with and her prices are surprisingly very affordable!! This is one of those “I wish I could give this business six/ten/a hundred stars.” First and foremost, the cake flavors are *to die for*. The execution, delivery and all the arrangements are impeccable. But most of all, it is the experience and tradition – the store exists, with different owners, for several decades – that provide this business with its stellar qualities. They understand your needs and help you articulate and refine them. And they execute beautifully – it doesn’t look like there is anything they cannot do. Lastly, the prices are more than reasonable. We know where we will be sending our friends for their cake needs from now on.P.S. The image is of our wedding cake, which easily fed 50 people (it was much bigger than it appears on the photo). We almost fought over the leftovers.
We ordered a customized fondant birthday cake. I sent them photos of what exactly we want and also stopped by to describe it in-person. The design was not complicated at all.What we got was partly different from what was promised.The cake in general was of good quality but not very tasty. And very sweet.The whipped cream filling did not taste like real cream still better that buttercream.1- Despite our request for ample pistachios in both filling and the cake itself, the cake had no pistachios at all ; only one of the fillings had maybe a maximum of 1% pistachios.2- The fondant decorations of the cake was good, not very neat as experts would do , but still nice.One of the shop's employees suggested a small change in the original design which came out a very good idea! Thank you!They should definitely work on their customer relations such as replying emails and returning phone calls for sure ! In our experience, sometimes we felt completely ignored/ forgotten. Their only customer-contact section that worked in a very agile manner was when they wanted a credit card number to charge us! :DWe thank them anyways as the cake decoration was nice and ornamented our photos.
