Excellent every time we visit with our family and Dog. Love the San Mateo location!!!!!! Jennifer the manager is awesome. She always remembers us and stops by our table to say hi.

I could not recommend this place. Sat at the bar with a friend for lunch, the bartender had no people skills, basically threw the menu at me and asked if I wanted a drink. Ordered an Old Fashion, as they only had one rye I had bullet. This is the type of bar that measures everything to the drop and follows a menu as the bartender has little to no skill as a bartender.
The Old Fashioned was too sweet and for the most part tasteless, my friend also had the same opinion. After finishing these we switched to beer and Bourbon served neat. ‘Ordered food, when it arrived via waitress she had no clue who it was for, she said in a loud voice who order this French dip, who ordered this sandwich, come on every restaurant has each and every seat numbered so staff know where to go.
The chicken club was poorly made as though someone grabbed all the ingredients and smashed them between two pieces of bread. The chicken was good, however no seasoning of any kind could be perceived, (salt, pepper, nothing) the avocado that fell out was bruised and brown and should have NEVER been served to a customer. I asked for a side of fruit and was shocked to see that they considered that option as a single piece of water melon, I was expecting a small fruit salad, thank God it wasn’t apple season, I guess I would have gotten a slice of apple.
This is unacceptable and I will not be going back food, service not worth it and in my opinion it is over priced for the food quality.

Ive always seen this franchise around but never dined there until now. My cousins wanted ti celebrate my birthday and I have a 3 month old.

The experience was wonderful. I was able to enjoy my time with my family. The seating area is spacious, we sat at the table area and I brought my infant his car seat.

Food and service was FANTASTIC, thank you 🙏🏽. The atmosphere is just so comforting, I regret not trying this place sooner.

Bathrooms were clean and THANK YOU for having a baby changing table available. I had to change my infants diaper 😄.

I would recommend this place to all 💯.

Fried Chicken Sandwich and Bison Burger with Sweet Potato tots were outstanding. Service was nice but i was expecting it to be more friendly. Atmosphere was nice and pleasant just as needed to enjoy my meal.

The food, service ambiance all great. Our server Mrs Tanya was Great. Personally, service & knowledge. And the Food very good 👍🏽 😋. Portion size & price 🍽🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 . This is our 3rd time at a Lazy Dog Restaurant . The experience has always been Great.

Pretty poor experience, especially from our little scammy waiter.
Food: it’s the second time i’m there and the second time I had to replace my meal. This time I had the salmon - Overcooked, dry and tasteless. Switched to grilled cheese - definitely not worth the price. Had better, even at Panera Bread (!)
Service: Was ok until we got the bill. The waiter clicked on the terminal screen quickly and CHOSE 20% TIP FOR HIMSELF without letting us decide how much we want to tip. The screen had those pre-determined 18%, 20% and 22% options, but he clicked the buttons fast enough, hoping we won’t catch it. He initially showed us the sum for the meal, then just clicked on the screen super fast and handed the terminal to pay. I immediately noticed that, and tried to go back to the previous screen to change the tip amount. Couldn’t go back. Had to go to the host and they had to call the waiter to reverse this. What a little scammy waiter. Left us with bad taste, pun intended.
