I've been coming here for over a year and let me tell you this place is legit! The food is always fresh and service is great. Many different options on the menu it truly is San mateos hidden taco Gem. Check them out in the back of the market on 25th!

Los Tacos Locos is our most favorite taqueria in San Mateo. It is a hidden gem located in the San Mateo Produce Market on 25th avenue. They have the most amazing carnitas tacos, their "gobernador" taco is life changing as is their out of this world, super special salsa (brownish in color - unlike anything we have ever tasted). Incredibly friendly and fast service. We love Los Tacos Locos!

How in the world does this place have 4 stars? Ordered a soft and crispy tripa taco, and the super nachos. My crispy taco immediately fell apart due to how soggy it was, they used a store bought shell, barely any meat, and unseasoned. It cost $5.25 for 1 taco!!! Picture included. Soft taco was on a single plain soggy white corn tortilla. Same, no flavor. Nachos were served with stale chips and were a big soggy mess. So many taco joints around. I'll avoid this one from now on.

What a hidden gem on 25th avenue!We ordered birria tacos, shrimp burrito and an Al pastor burrito.The birria tacos were outstanding! Crispy taco, plenty of meat and amazing broth. Super reasonably priced.The burritos were also very good. Plenty of fish/meat, healthy serving of all the goodies, very filling.We will definitely be back for more.We highly recommend Los Taco Locos!

I frequest this place because they have in my mind the best fried fish tacos on the peninsula. On my most recent visit I also ordered super nachos but had asked to have the chips, pico, guacamole, and creme set on the side because I live 30 min away and didn't want the chips to get soggy. The server obliged with adding an additional fee for I believe the extra containers which I was fine with. After getting home and prepping our dinner I found he forgot to put chips in the bag which totally made this visit a bad experience overall.

Fantastic carnitas super quesadilla. Great quality and flavor meat, delicious fillings and prepared fast at 9am on a weekday. Unfortunately the lower half of the quesadilla gets quickly soggy in the takeout container so ask them to put plenty of napkins in the bottom of the takeout box to mitigate that. Overall delicious though with friendly and smiling staff. Will definitely be back.
This was a horrible place the enchilada was just very bad. The cheese on it tasted and was textured like string. And not to mention the fact that I ordered chicken and got beef. Now the tacos were okay. Just OKAY. And they only gave us two tacos when I ordered 4 of them. The shell was also very soggy and crumbled when I picked it up. The portions were very small. This food was just overall disappointing. They also gave us this disgusting milk looking drink. It was not a good experience at all. Wouldn't recommend.

I gave it one star for the friendly cashier. I've passed by this place a few times thinking the food might be half way decent from reading the reviews. I didn't take a picture of the burrito I ordered because I threw it away. I went there An hour before closing thinking it was a good time. The guy that was working on the grill was clearly making tacos and heating up the steak in the background for himself so I figured the steak would be the best thing to order since it seemed grilled and hot. Not my burrito. My burrito was cold inside. The cheese wasn't even melted and the meat was gross, hard, old and stale. Like they kept it for a few days! I threw it away. What a waste of time and money! Also, their produce prices are outrageous! I thought to myself I should have drove a little further to Pancho Villa. They never dissapoint! This place sure does. Better of anywhere else but this place.

Our new favorite Taqueria!! The most amazing tacos - homemade tortillas that are out of this world. We had the al pastor and carnitas. Can't wait to return and try the quesabirria. This is a real gem inside the San Mateo Produce Market on 25th Ave and our new neighborhood fave!
