I understand why there are not many people order or dine from this restaurant. Finding steel scrubbers in my fired rice was

My young nephew and I went because he wanted to take me to a delicious Thai restaurant. That is exactly what this was. We shared a chicken pad thai. It did not take them very long to make and it did not take us very long to finish it off.

I mostly just order pad see ew with beef at Thai restaurants, so I've had it at a number of different places. The pics in Google maps seemed good. Picked it up for takeout and when I got home I found it to be a very pale attempt at the dish. The flavor was ok but it seemed like maybe they did not use enough sauce or maybe there was some other issue. Not sure what happened. But can't recommend. Maybe they were having an off day?

Love the big bowl of beef combination noodle soup. It was very flavorful. The service was great. I came on a Sunday at lunchtime. There was no wait, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I was even reminded of a free Thai iced tea with a yelp check-in. Good iced tea too.

On a super chilly night, I really wanted soup and shrimp, so tom yum soup was the way to go. New Thai Elephant seemed pretty understaffed for a busy Friday night, as they were swamped with serving tables and couldn't get to seating people for a bit.I also got the panang curry with beef and the papaya salad.Papaya salad wasn't overly fishy, but I did feel it could have more flavor. I did like that it was served with lettuce in a way that you can wrap the salad with it. Panang beef curry was flavorful and spicy; so was the tom yum soup (nice and sour, but not overly done). The shrimps in the soup were really nice and plump too! Not over cooked at all. Overall, food came out really quickly, and although seating was a bit slow (not their fault though), service was good once you got seated.

Tasty food, cozy ambiance and wonderful service (It was Hein who served us and he was very good). We love this place. We ordered Panang and green curry with rice and Sticky rice with mango. All of it was yummy except sticky rice in the desert was a lil dry and mango was a lil raw.

Best beef noodle soup (B04 - Combination Beef Noodle Soup) I've ever had - in any asian cuisine. When you think of beef noodle soups, you usually think of the Vietnamese or Taiwanese versions before you think about Thai beef noodle soup, but New Thai Elephant has shattered this preconceived notion. This Thai beef noodle soup is everything that makes Thai food so great. The broth is an explosion of savoriness, umami, and spices that work perfectly together, and the generous portion of soft and tender beef absorbs the rich flavor from the broth like a sponge. Ever since I tried this dish, I've ordered the beef noodle soup at dozens of other Thai restaurants, but nothing has come close to New Thai Elephant's.While the beef noodle soup is my go-to item here, I've tried most of their dishes and they have all been at least solid. You can't go wrong with any of their stir-fry noodles, curries, soups, or rice dishes, but I typically order the Pad Kee Mao, Roasted Duck Curry, and Crab Fried Rice. I also enjoy the Papaya Salad and Spicy Eggplant. My only complaint is that some of these dishes (Pad Kee Mao, Spicy Eggplant, Pad See Ew) have had a little too much oil, but it's not enough to stop me from ordering them.TL;DR: if I could only eat one dish for the rest of my life, it might just be New Thai Elephant's Combination Beef Noodle Soup. Their other dishes are solid.

Food tasted delicious and overall quality was great. Liked the atmosphere. It was busy at dinner time. Service was friendly but not as attentive. I would eat here again, though.

They have the best fried rice round the region. With authentic Thai chefs and Thai servers, there can hardly be better Thai atmosphere in the bay. What’s more, I have been there many times, and their quality of food and service has been consistently outstanding. I really feel sorry that they are so underrated in Google and Yelp. Such unfair rating is a reflection of the poor taste of Americans on Asian food.

Been to Thailand 3 times. Also eaten at many Thai restaurants around the Bay area. This really hit the spot. Definitely now my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. In regards to taste and food quality (ya know, the most important factors) this is perfect. Zero complaints. Yes. Yes. Yes.I had pad kee miao (spelling?) and a green curry.Service was a little less than OK, had to repeatedly wave them down each time I needed something.Portions......I could see how some might think they are small. I thought the portions were fair for the price, which is also on the reasonable side. Not too bad.So yeah.....I'll be back.

I found this place a little bit overrated. The prices are too high, and the food is not very impressive. I tried a few curries and also the soup. Something is missing, and it's very plain, but they're nice. They're excellent customer service over there, which, yes, it's up in the restaurant.
