Excellent spot.Found the staff to be on point. Everything was on time, waitress was very knowledgeable and had good recommendations but didn't pressure.Food was excellent. Really no complaints. We had the salumi, pea salad, pizza, and cheesecake. Nothing missed. Prices are typical for peninsula (high) but the quality is there to back it up.We sat inside and it was noisy with loud misic, and the large screen TV at the bar was maybe unnecessary. So not a romantic spot but more for a night out with friends or family with older kids. Will definitely come back ASAP!Parking: Right next to large San Mateo city parking garage. Took a while to find a spot but it's free after 6 and there are plenty of spots, you just have to look for a bit since it's such a big lot.

Went with coworkers at an early hour, but we arrived a little late. Pausa was very accommodating and the food was delicious. We all ended up getting dessert because it all looked so good. Highly recommend for a fancy dinner out! Get reservations early.

Unique and very tasty Italian fine dining. Loved the appetizers and overall service. Servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Water was constantly refilled. Entrees were unique and pretty great. Won’t say mind blowing for the entrees but definitely worth a second visit.

The restaurant is way too loud, VERY slow service (we had to beg for water numerous times right at the beginning), it took more than an hour for the entree to come in, waitress barely checked in to see if we needed more stuff. It was an unpleasant dining experience. Couldn't hear anyone. Not coming back.

Found this place to eat by our hotel at the airport in San Francisco last night. Highly recommend everyone to go there if you want a great spot for dinner. Our server Katrina was amazing. She was so attentive and knowledgeable. The food was a combination of all different types of food around Italy. She told us the menu is always changing depending on seasonal ingredients. The wine is all Italian as well and the chef is from northern Italy we were told. The atmosphere was amazing. Great vibe in there and it was packed on a Wednesday night. We loved everything we tried especially the bone marrow, beet salad, tagliatelle, pizza and especially the sheep ricotta doughnuts. I would definitely go back. Probably the best service I have had in Bay Area as well.
