Overall good poke. Not cheap...$18 (average poke price) for only 2 choices of meat, not that many choices of meat, I counted 6 maybeBut the meat is really fresh and big and chunky which I think makes the same amount of 3 meats you would get at other placesVege choices are not that many either, I don't have a hard time to choose as at other poke placesIf you get spicy salmon/tuna you probably don't need sauce, it's already flavor enough, adding sauce makes it too salty
Good prices, great quality and friendly staff. The proteins were all pre mixed with sauces but I feel like that made it a lot simpler to order. They still had sauces on the side to add if wanted
Very good poke, including vegetarian options. My partner introduced this place to me, and now we come here whenever we're nearby.
This place is the closest thing I could find to Hawaiian style poke in San Mateo. The fish here is super fresh! I love the house special and the wasabi tuna the most. Recently they added banh mi to their menu and it’s seriously delicious. For me a good banh mi doesn’t cut the roof of your mouth and this place def didn’t cut me. The banh mi was also pretty filled with meat. I’m pretty happy with everything I got and will be back.
Super fresh ingredients and tasty poké! They have a ton of different options for the marinated poké, side food choices for your bowl, and sauces. They recently added bahn-mi sandwiches and musibis to their menu. There’s also a nice, spacious seating area indoors. Great option for to-go food in the area. We live right next door and will be back for more!
The best poke bowl. I'm from Hawaii, and go back annually. The poke is great in Hawaii but the poke bowls originated on the mainland. Ponzu poke is the best by far. Very good poke choices and free add-ons and toppings are excellent.Note: authentic Hawaiian poke is a marinade made over night and set out in trays at the fish counter. Many poke shops over here are serving sashimi and mixing it with a sauce. Not real and not good. Get the real deal at Ponzu Poke.
Great taste. What is amazing is how much shrimp and tuna they gave to my regular size bowl. Definitely recommend to everyone.
The fish is fresh and they have good selections of sides and sauces.
Best poke bowl I’ve ever tasted! Always fresh and tasty. My favorite is the poke Cali. The musubi is very good too. Everything here is excellent!!
Ordered a vegetarian wrap falafel and bowl with regular chai with bobas. It was ok, May the owner has changed and current owner was sweet to offer some yogurt rice to my infant. But otherwise felt the shop is isolated and it was empty and someVibe was missing. Food was ok and portion was good.

Ponzu Poke Bar is one of the very few Bay Area pokeateries that has poke like it's done in Hawaii, as in pre-mixed. I've come to enjoy this style more because the mixture is much more flavorful than when it's freshly mixed. I find that most places that mix it for you on the spot don't do a good job of mixing. You get 1 choice of poke for a regular size and 2 choices for a large. This may seem like a small portion size, but you get two sides (choice of crab salad, spicy crab salad, seaweed salad, and marinated tofu) to make up for it. The poke scoops are also much larger than what you get at other places, about double the size. There is also a wide variety of toppings - I especially appreciated that there was edamame and mushroom, which you don't typically see at other places. There are 6 types of poke to choose from. I had the original and the garlic miso. Both were delicious. All in all, a delicious poke bowl!
I love the seaweed salad?? & crab meat If only They had chicken to top it off
The owners went above-and-beyond to accommodate a large order I placed! And the food was phenominal!
Friendly service with generous portions and fair prices.
Loved the citrus kale. Not overpriced.
