Good service could be better was a little slow but the food was really good, would still go back. Hostess was very slow we stood at the front for about 5 minutes until someone came over to help.

We went to celebrate a milestone (retirement). It was on the Open Table remarks but none was even acknowledged by our server or any personnel of the restaurant. It was a busy Saturday night and I think they were understaffed. We all ordered different type of meats: Porterhouse, Ribeye and NY Cut. Though, the meat was cooked and seasoned well, the side sauces lacked some “oomp!”. We also had the bread service and onion soup. We ordered dessert, too (not the flambe') but the chocolate mousse. It was tiny that the usual and just okay. Overall, their steaks were good and well-priced. Service was spotty. It didn't feel so welcoming and celebratory! We had better.

Amazing experience!! My nephew and I always go to Izzy's in San Carlos for special occasions. Sad to say Izzy's has closed.We needed to find a new special restaurant for our celebrations. Porterhouse has become that special place. The special treatment, fantastic food and amazing service. Close parking just made it better. We had a wonderful time - a 19 yrs old nephew and a late 60's aunt - so hard to please both generations.

Food was wonderful. Portions were perfect size and the cocktails were delicious! Services was spot on, without feeling rushed ever. Only issue were the 3 young people seated next to us using very offensive language, including frequent racial slurs that made me uncomfortable. Clearly they were regulars as they knew all the employees, so unable to say anything. Overall cod was top notch and will go back again, but hopefully seated next to better humans.

Wow! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. For a rather high-end steakhouse it was not stuffy, and prices were not out of line either. Started with the seared scallops, had salads and soup- all were excellent. One of us had a filet, one had the halibut, one had the cowboy steak and one had the lamb chops. All the portions were generous and came with vegetables and potatoes. The service was top-notch, it really makes a difference when you have a professional waiter, not just some kid. With everything, including two drinks and two deserts it came to about $125 per person. Atmosphere was cozy, somewhat casual,and not noisy. Highly recommend!

Had Thanksgiving dinner which my husband and I decided to have steak excellent. Our waiter Denise was fabulous. Will go back for sure.

The Host was so kind enough to check if they had indoor seating and was able to accommodate my reservations and change us to indoor vs outside on a busy Thanksgiving Day. We where so pleased and everyone was so pleasant. Food was excellent and delicious. Very affordable pricing for a gourmet plated meal. We will definitely be coming back.
Usually when I leave a 5 star review, it's because everything was great. In this case, it was outstanding. I would leave 10 stars out of 5 if I could! Armando was our server and he was fantastic. He was attentive without being overbearing, helpful, and cheerful. It was my daughter's 21st birthday and he even remembered she was dairy free and gluten free and brought her sorbet at the end with a little candle. Everything was delicious, worth every penny.

Love Porterhouse! The drinks, food & dessert were so satisfying. Although it was full and service was a bit slow, the ambiance, drinks & our guests more than made up for the delay. Overall, the dinner was what I have come to expect from Porterhouse. . . Great food/drinks, friendly wait staff & a relaxing environment. Thanks for not disappointing me (again)!

For a steakhouse I expected the steaks to be done to expertly however our expensive medium rare steaks were medium and they lost one of our entrees. The waiter was apologetic but it didn't make up for poorly executed food.

Food and service. One and done. Fairly high end restaurant. Service extremely slow. 40 minutes from salad to entree being served! We even asked where our entrees were. Our kiddie cheeseburger didn’t arrive until after asking 3 times and over 50 minutes. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks. When porterhouse steaks were delivered, steaks arrived cooked to incorrectly. The people delivering the meals didn’t ask what level of doness we asked for and mixed orders up. The waiter, not once, checked back to see how or dinners were. The manager just kept making excuses and did not really seemed concerned. He said he wasn’t aware of any kitchen problem. NEVER ,NEVER, NEVER WILL WE RETURN.
