The food is great and tasty. The bathroom is clean not smelly. The only problem is the parking, you'll have to find it and walk a little further.

Food feel like not that fresh, the fried food feel like from at least 2 hours ago. Food is pretty salty. Service is not that good, hard to find help. But maybe it’s the busy hour.

Managed to get a last-minute reservation and felt quite lucky! The restaurant even followed up to confirm our arrival. The service was excellent—they even poured the sake for us. I loved the heated tray on the table that kept our skewers warm; it’s such a thoughtful touch. The menu has plenty of options, and though the place is small, it feels very cozy and atmospheric. The upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling are a unique touch. One thing to note: it’s quite dim inside, so it’s a bit hard to take photos. If you're taking a group shot, watch out for blurriness!

Portions are rather small and the food was decent. Reminded me of the Tibetan meat stalls in Beijing.

This place has potential to be a great spot, but it has a strong, unpleasant odor reminiscent of a bathroom. The food was delicious, but it arrived cold on the second round. The service was decent, but it was slow. Considering the high prices and numerous service flaws, I’m not sure if I’d return.

Bad service, waited for an hour and got served the wrong food and straight up lied about it. Not apologetic at all.

This is a good place for a quick lunch. The bento box was just right.

The chicken teriyaki meat was disgusting and inedible. The worst I've ever had. The wagyu steak skewers were also made with inferior meat. Really a slap in the face that it is so expensive and so low quality. 2 stars instead of 1
for the shitaki mushrooms and garlic edamame

Had such a great time at Prime BBQ in San Mateo! We ordered the veggie fried rice, cucumber salad, mentaiko stir-fried udon with shrimp, vermicelli scallop with garlic, grilled oyster with garlic, and a bunch of skewers - shishito pepper, wagyu steak with uni, beef tongue, and chicken meatball. We also tried the Thai tea (with the cutest bear on top ) and a bottle of Kubota “Senjyu.”
Everything was tasty, but my absolute favorite was the mentaiko udon, the beef tongue skewers, and the chicken meatball.
Also, don’t miss their $2 lunch specials (Fri–Sun) for oysters, abalone, and scallops. Super cute space with Labubu decor and a big sake selection.

The gyudon (beef with rice) has the same flavor & portion as the yoshinoya froze pack ($4) and it was sale as $17!? Then I doubt how the other dishes were made. The lamb skewer was awful, doesn’t tastes like lamb. The chick skin tastes good but it was clearly made by frying instead of grilled as its dish name suggested.
The chive was surprisingly good with reasonable $2 price.
