After all these years, Ramen Dojo is still solid and one of the best amongst so many newer spots in downtown San Mateo. Our host was warm and attentive. The restaurant is small and very homey.

I ordered a karaage ramen ($19) with garlic pork miso and extra spicy level. I love that it's actually spicy. But the main star, the karaage, was old karaage that was refried.

I'm obsessed with Ramen Dojo! Being just 15 minutes from my place, I finally took the plunge and tried it after months of recommendations. The service is great, and the Ramen is AMAZING! I've tried 4 different plates, and each one is a favorite. I'm hooked now - definitely worth checking out!

They make great ramen here. I got the garlic pork miso broth. But I had to leave a review because of our server. She had such great energy, and was very helpful when we were choosing our items. She just seemed to be having fun, wanted to help, and she made our great meal even better. We love Ramen Dojo.
Still a great place, carried so much good memories for me. 5 star, but only 4 star for the food. I don't have any particular complain, but just a feeling the ramen is somehow different from 10 years ago. Something is missing in its spirit. I couldn't tell exact what, but just a feeling.
There are also some changes in the menu. Seemed they invented new menus (like other Ramen places here, as I observed), but those don't feel like authentic Japanese ramen anymore.

Small ramen spot with great customer service, Everything in the menu is delicious! PS. The extra spicy broth is definitely not made for the weak ;), if you’re adventurous and don’t mind the burn, I would definitely recommend getting it.

It is sad and happy not to wait in line anymore. Before, I had to wait for an hour sometimes. I don’t what happened. Maybe people were just tired of waiting? Now, I can come in have a bowl of ramen whenever I want. So good for me. Gone in minutes.

Service was great. Hospitality was awesome. The waitress was super good, explained the menu, and patient. There was only one vegetarian option and it was good. I hope they add more vegetarian options to the menu. Food was prepared fresh and tasty and spice levels were as expected/ordered.
