Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.

I'm an absolute fan of Lazy Dog! Ever since their doors opened, I've found myself frequently returning, enamored by nearly every item on their extensive menu. The service here is unparalleled, consistently exceeding expectations. Carly, in particular, deserves a round of applause. She's been incredible, always going above and beyond to ensure my visits are nothing short of perfect. Her dedication and attention to detail have not only enhanced my dining experience but have made me feel like a valued guest every single time. Hats off to Carly for her exceptional service!

This Lazy Dog is the absolute BEST! We have been here a few times, and most recently had Erin as our server. She is PHENOMENAL! So kind, so helpful and truly made our dining experience the best. She made menu recommendations, helped with my drink selection and checked in with us regularly. I highly recommend you visit this location and hopefully you'll get Erin as your server!

I only eat their brunch chicken egg Benedict. I think it's only served on weekends until 2pm. I haven't tried anything else.

The service was so slow, it took close to two hours for our meal and bill, start to finish. Once we placed our orders after waiting for 20 minutes, it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The food wasn't amazing enough to warrant a wait that long. It was a Sunday at 11:20 am, the restaurant was not busy or crowded for a while. This is an easy pass.

don't let the name fool you. we live near this restaurant but never went because we thought it was only hot dogs because of the name. we tried it yesterday and guess what? no hot dogs! great menu, good food and great service. will definitely go back.

I was recently here on my lunch break with a friend. We sat at the bar and were having a conversation, when another patron came over and became very aggressive with us. He yelled at us several times while pounding his fist on the bar and just kept on telling us to "shut the f*** up" and progressively got louder. Another person got involved and managed to get him to go back to his seat. It took 10 minutes or more before being approached by a manager, which the only thing they did was let us know that they had seen everything and to let them know if we needed anything. The bartender kept quiet and said nothing. The nice man who got him to sit down was also accosted and threatened by this guy as he was on his way out. I learned after that he was a regular there and that most of the staff know him. It is extremely disheartening that none of the staff addressed the situation and just watched from a distance. It felt very unsafe and they all kept quiet. Even more upsetting is knowing this person will probably be back there with zero consequences. I do not recommend going here and am very grateful for the man who stepped in to help.

Great restaurant! We especially loved the brussel sprout appetizer. It's a great space - high beamed ceiling with a big fireplace. Erin was a great server. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Had the Cuban sandwich & flatiron steak, great portions & very flavorful. We had awesome service! Erin, was our outdoor server, she was great & super attentive to our group, came out constantly (we were seated outdoors) & always followed up if we needed anything. My favorite place to dine with my pup. Very pleased to see they added hamburger patty option to the dog menu, only $5!
