The chicken wings are equally phenomenal, crispy and packed with flavor. On the side, don’t skip the garlic fries—they’re out of this world. And to top it all off, their milkshakes are to die for. This spot is a must-visit for burger lovers in San Mateo!

My favorite burger place! I always get the spicy fried chicken sandwich and is so good. The fries are crispy and the lemonade is good as well. Highly recommend!

Great food! The Sal’s Sauce is a little bit spicy, but as someone who doesn’t enjoy spicy foods, it was fine. I added mustard to my all American and it was great. Solid options as far as food and drinks go! Definitely recommend the strawberry lemonade. The real standout is the bathroom. This restaurant has its own BIDET!!! I’ve never seen something so cool!!

Love Sal's! They have options for everyone (vegetarian or vegan folks included) and the burger/sandwich prices are more than fair for the Bay Area. Fries included which we love! There's outdoor seating which can accommodate larger groups, and the booths inside give the place a burger joint feel. This place is a staple in our household!

Nestled in an unassuming corner of a strip mall is the site of one of the best halal burgers in the Bay Area, though you don't have to be Muslim to enjoy them ;)
The ambiance is rustic and inviting, and the service is friendly to match. It doesn't take long for your order to be ready, which is great when you're starving after a long soccer match. I've tried several burgers & sandwiches and loved them all. The Sal's Classic and Cowboy stuck out to me in particular. My friends generally enjoy their orders too, including the sides and drinks. The prices seem reasonable, given the quality and portion size.
Overall, I really think Sal's Burgers is worth a visit.. or several!

Finally went to Sal's after hearing so much about it and watching so many videos and it is safe to say that this place does not disappoint. The staff was amazing and the food was so delicious that we told him we will be back very soon. They give generous portions and everything is very clean and inviting. We ordered SF Patty melt, all American Burger, buffalo chicken fries and loaded beef/stake fries, Philly cheesesteak as well as chicken tenders. Everything was on point and we absolutely loved it. We will definitely be coming back

Wow. Just great. I came for the first time and tried the classic, and wife got the grilled chicken on sourdough. Everything was made fresh to order.
We also subbed for garlic fries and were not disappointed. At first glance the fries seemed a small portion but the meal turned out to be the perfect amount for a full belly and no waste.
