A hidden gem! I have never had such a delicious red sauce for dipping such a tasty soft bread! Definitely worth going back for the steak!

Very good menu and food. We were visiting family and Sole was a restaurant they wanted to try. We all agreed that it was a great choice. We will be back.

Smallish, popular Italian restaurant. Bruschetta is not to be missed. Spaghetti is tasty. Lasagna is great. This time I tried a steak - really. And it was really, really good.Parking can be sketchy. Stay is just so very helpful and caring. Highly recommended.

We've been coming here for the excellent service and food for a few years. We always get a small amount of pasta on the side for a one year old for free which was a nice touch and made us feel welcomed and wanting to come back. Today, we ordered as usual and they charged us $16 for a very small bowl of plain pasta with butter. We wouldn't have ordered if we had known. We were shocked when we got the bill and explained our surprise to the server. The server (older one) took the bill back and the owner changed it to $14. We felt insulted. We just won't be coming back. I hope the $13.50 they made on the cup of pasta was worth losing our future business.

Nice place, but a little small. That didn't stop them from making excellent food. Recommend making reservations.

My husband and I came across this amazing place a few months ago. We have nothing but nice things to say about the staff and their delicious food. We were just there on Saturday (10/28/23) for a dinner date and probably or 5th time there since we discovered it back in May 2023. My husband and I shared the Bruschetta di Peperoni, Pomodoro e Caponatina Siciliana (Vegan), Sedanini con Salciccia e Funghi (I typically don't eat pork but that was really good) and of course some wine. Our experience has been excellent and we enjoy our dinner dates at Sole!

If you are looking for authentic Italian restaurant, Sole is where you should dine. The owners are from Italy, bringing their recipes for your enjoyment. We sat outside on a nice summer night. Everyone else preferred to be indoors, which is okay. The staff were attentive making sure that we were happy. The bread came with a special spread that was so good! As a vegetarian I ordered the Gnocchi Tartufati, my husband the Pappardelle alla Bolognese. This was a special dinner for us. My husband drank a Peroni beer. For dessert we took a Tiramisu home. Our bellies just didn't have the capacity to finish everything. I took half my gnocchi to work the next day, and ate it so fast.Support your local businesses and bon appetit.

I think of Sole as this little quaint hole-in-the wall, which I love. The food is amazing and the wine is great. Service is wonderful. I want to go again and again and again.

Sad they had to take down the backyard eating area, but the people, food and atmosphere are great.

I'm guessing this place was experiencing an off day. The service was a bit odd, there was only one server for about 45 mins until another server joined who was late. The food itself was ok. That Pappardelle Alla Bolognese was a bit too tart for my taste and a little under seasoned... so was the strip steak that the hubby got. When we got there we were only offered water, the waitress didn't offer an option of other drinks. On top of that we weren't told the specials for the day. I definitely would have ordered something from the specials if she had. And on top of that we were also not given the option to sit in the back patio. We didn't even know there was a back patio.Although it had a hometown feel, I'm not sure if I'd return. There wasn't anything extraordinary about the food or service. I'm pretty bummed cause I was hoping this would be a regular spot for us, back on the hunt for a good pasta spot.

I took a friend there for a bday celebration. I picked the restaurant because of the most positive review. The ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable. I could clearly see few regular customers there. However, there were several issues for my visit. First of the all one of the dishes we ordered was the chicken masala. The chicken was tough and chewy. I was so disappointed that I didn't know what to do. I didn't ask to send back since I was afraid I would get yelled at. The second issue was the female server actually told me in person not to raise my hand if I needed something, I found that so odd and disturbing. I didn't even raise my voice or anything like that. So that is why I am giving a 3 stars this time.

Dropped in for lunch on our way from S F to Belmont for a meeting, based on Yelp reviews, and were very pleased with the freshness and quality of the food and fine service. We shall return (MacArthur)....
