This restaurant is actually addicting! I do not live in town, but when I come to visit this is one of my first stops. The line is always out the door for a reason! I highly recommend Somisomi for a delicious, well priced sweet treat.
Just delicious. I ordered an ube soft serve with an Ah Boong (fish waffle) on the side. The Ah Boong is warm and fresh, simultaneously soft and crispy, and the ice cream is flavorful and the perfect amount. I inhaled the entire thing within 5 minutes, it was just that good. The ube soft serve is not the best I've had, but it's still good, and that's probably because of my personal tastes. I think it is worth the price. The location is convenient too, right in Downtown...
If one loves taiyaki and Asian flavors of soft serve ice cream, then this is the place in San Mateo area. This shop is located in B Street where the area feels like a “food” street and is an excellent place for dessert. Witha bigger sized party, We tried the super cute fish shaped waffle “upside” and “upside down” versions plus the whole fish versions. I love the soft serve since it comes with added filling of tot choice inside the waffle plus the soft serve…...
