I prefer Specialty's over Starbucks or even Peet's. Courtney is very attentive. She made an effort to learn my name and learned my pattern and knows what I like and want to order. She also makes sure I receive good service every time I go. She does that with everyone.
Same great food but the place had no straws, no napkins and was a bit dirty when I visited. Not the cleanest Specialties I have visited. Also got the wrong sandwich, but it was really good, so I didn't mind.
I've visited this bakery on several occasions and the service is terrible. The employees at the register look bored an uninterested to provide service. You can stand at the register to place your order and it is as if you are invisible, no acknowledgment or greeting until it dawns on them that they are Paid to be of service. Seriously hire someone that wants to provide great customer service. The coffee and food is great, so props to those that work behind the scenes.
