This Starbucks has to be the worst Starbucks in San Mateo. I don't know who the girl's name was but today is February 13th and it's 12:44 p.m. and the girl that worked there picked up the phone and told me that I could not change my order and then she cussed at me and hung up the phone. When I tried to call back she did not answer so I hung up and I called again and then she picked up the phone and said you can call corporate if you keep calling here this is harassment and then hung up on me again. All because I wanted to change my order she must be some disgusting lazy person that hates her job if I were you I would not get my Starbucks here.

Depressing Starbucks. It is never clean. Homeless/transient people have started take shelter here on the sofas and no one says anything. Store manager must be sleeping.

Located on a busy corner of El Camino and 17th Avenue, this is a convenient location to get a to-go coffee. But beware of the narrow parking lot, especially if you drive a large or wide vehicle. Also not easy to get to the 92 freeway if you exit from the parking lot, as you will have to make a difficult u-turn somewhere on El Camino. Staff is usually friendly and efficient.

Medium sized seating area with large windows facing the busy El Camino Real intersection. Parking lot is around the back and super easy, but exit is one way to northbound ECR only. So it may be more convenient to park on street, depending on where you’re going. Baristas here are quality with polite, efficient service and accurately made drinks.

My coffee wasn’t very good. It kind of smelled like broccoli for some reason. I asked the barista to replace the coffee. But it tasted the same and even barista agreed with me that it smells odd. So probably not going back lol.

This place was slower than molasses. Chatty Cathy was taking orders, except that instead of actually taking an order and moving the line along, she was having full-blown conversations with people. Something along the lines of “here’s every single cold foam choice you have.“ By the time my order got placed the line was five deep. It turns out my drink was made fairly quickly, but the barista in charge of getting them out to patrons skipped over it. Five or more minutes later I finally inquired, and it was handed directly to me. Also, there was no hand sanitizer anywhere to be found and the bathrooms are locked. To their credit, the employees were pleasant, and it’s nice to see them be personable. But I found all the waiting around to be too much.
