Seriously love this place. The server, end up knowing he is the manager. Super great guy, should ask him if you have any concern, this Niwa no Uguisu, nigori sake, is what he suggested to us. Very impressive! Also highly recommend Dassai 45 of course.
Noodle wise, dipping noodle is good. Rich soup great noodle. But the yuzu one can have a bit stronger yuzu flavor.
Overall worth to step in and have a lovely meal here.

The menu is limited on the main meal selection, but tastes good.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and overall I enjoyed the experience. The bench seats at the booths are flat wood, so that might be a little uncomfortable for some.
I liked that it was very clean and an open atmosphere without being noisy. The space is warm and welcoming. The price is average and an acceptable value. Nice selection on alcoholic beverages.

We recently visited Taishoken Ramen for a family dinner with our two small kids, and I canāt recommend this place highly enough to anyone looking for a friendly, family-accommodating ramen spot.
For families (especially with small children):
ā Thereās a good mix of booth seating and some high chairs/boosters, and stroller parking inside the restaurant, so donāt stress if youāre coming with more than one kid.
ā They brought special utensils for the kids, which they loved.
ā Kidsā ramen is both affordable (not the usual overpriced āminiā meal) and came out quickly.
āThe staff are attentive and genuinely seem to like having families in. No eye-rolling, lots of smiles.
Overall, Taishoken Ramen was one of the best ramen shop experiences weāve had as a family. Itās clear they really understand what makes dining out with kids enjoyableālittle ways to make it comfortable and stress-free, plus staff who actually seem happy to serve families. Combine that with excellent ramen and plenty of choices for adults and kids, and itās a place weāll absolutely be adding to our regular rotation.

š The Ramen:
I found the ramen at Taishoken to be quite good. The broth was flavorful, the noodles had a nice chew, and the toppings were fresh. It was a well-executed bowl that certainly satisfied my ramen craving.
šļø Service:
The service was efficient and relatively quick. Orders were taken promptly, and the food came out in a timely manner, which is always appreciated, especially at a busy ramen spot.

The atmosphere inside Taishoken Ramen is casual and functional. It's designed for enjoying a good bowl of ramen, with comfortable seating and a generally clean environment. It has the typical, straightforward vibe of a solid ramen establishment.
š° Value:
The pricing felt fair for the quality and portion size of the ramen. It offers good value for a satisfying meal.

Revisited this ramen after a few years and find that itās still top quality. Simple menu with a choice of dipping, dry and traditional ramen. I decided to go with the traditional. Rating based on my BENMS system - Broth (4) blend of pork and chicken itās flavorful without being too heavy. Egg (5) well cooked and firm on outside soft on the inside. Noodles (5) my favorite type of noodles - pale and straight slightly chewy. Meat (3) 2 different cuts of pork theyāre not bad but not outstanding. Not super flavorful which is what Iād like expect. Seaweed (4) nice and flavorful. Overall 4.

I came here to celebrate my brotherās birthday and it was a plus since I was craving for some ramen. We had a large party and its first come first serve where they do not take reservations. Upon arrival, it was pretty much a full house, we gave the host our party size and provided her with a name. We were told there was going to be a wait, but I donāt mind at all since I have high patience and decided to stroll around the area. After walking around my appetite grew and it became more busy. Finally we were seated and greeted by their friendly and well trained staffs. The menu is basically half drink and half food. Many great drinks, appetizers and ramen to choose from. They are very well known in Japan and their specialty dish is the ramen that has soup on the side for dipping. Their interior is very modern that includes wooden furniture with a hint of dim lights. Also their noodles are made daily from scratch. I highly recommend this place for all ramen enthusiasts, anyone looking to try something new or just looking for a laid back spot. I definitely will be back to try out their other items.

[8.5/10] Tokusei Tsukemen
- Broth and noodles are 10/10. Rich in flavor + good portion of noodles
- Egg 9/10
- Chashu was a little dry
- Rare Chashu was pretty good
Ramen was okay. The tofu appetizer is very good!
I had the dipping noodles. Half way through, a waiter came along and asked if I needed to add soup. I thought the added soup would be the same broth, but it turned out it was almost water. The broth became completely bland and uneatable. I've been here several times and this is the first time that this happened.
Also, when we ordered, we asked what's the difference between the two dipping noodles. The waitress said the topping is different. Then I said so what's the difference? She said the first one has more toppings b/c it's more expensive and smiled like it was obvious. Ofc I know! Just tell me what's in the first one that's not in the second one! Why so difficult?!
Happy to see tsukemen is getting popular in the Bay Area. I ordered the signature dipping noodle, overall it tastes good and I can give it 5 star. However, I would still recommend the store to reduce the Yuzu flavor in the dipping soup. It adds some refreshing flavor for sure, but I think tsukemen is supposed to be bold, so just keeping the original salty & meaty broth will make the flavor more authentic. Worth trying!

Waiting a bit on the waitlist (for some reason was unable to join remotely on Yelp) but worth it when we got our food! They were pretty fast bringing it out too.
