Have you ever had Fujian cuisine before? Now you can at Taste of Shaxian in San Mateo! All of the dishes were very simple, but surprised us with a lot of flavor! Whether you're a fan of dumplings or not, this place has good ones and a bunch of other must-try dishes all priced very reasonably. For 2 people, we ordered just enough to be comfortably full.

Fast and yummy. I liked the won tons, kid liked the noodles (Combo D)
Would probably not get the steamed dumplings again, kinda thick skinned and dry
Will try Combo A or E next. Kid friendly and casual

Stopped in to try, it wasn't that busy although nobody watching front of the house and had a iPad for wait-list. But once we looked around the wall they just sat us without looking at wait list. We ordered green onion pancake, meat rice dumplings, pork soup dumplings, crispy fried chicken breast, nan chang rice noodles, and spicy beef rib eye clay pot with rice.
