I used to love the counter! I was a patron at the Palo Alto Location way back. I decided to try my local one and was disappointed. It seems like their signature taste in the beef has changed. In addition their shoe string fries where way overcooked and tasted a bit stale. I had to throw them out. The Chipotle sauce definitely changed as well. Don't think I will be ordering again.

Fix your Google maps posting to say you only do delivery. So people don’t drive all the way to your restaurant only to find out it doesn’t exist and it delivery only when I try to call you and see what’s up with your store. Not cool.

Excellent food with poor staff service. A male and a female counter staff today were really not accommodating. Not happy at all. April 8, 2023.

I love the counter but this location is just not it. For one they're missing a lot of the options available at other locations. The best options, I might add. They also didn't include the milkshake we ordered AND paid for -- we just got a straw.

Not a restaurant, the pictures are of the old (closed) location due to some crossed wires at Google. This is just a cloud kitchen output for food delivery folks and takeout. Not located in a great section of town to walk around in.

Maps takes you to their cloud kitchen. All the pictures (and even some reviews!) say it's a dine-in restaurant. First picture is actually of the Hillsdale location. Here's to hoping the "owner" doesn't reply asking how the address is deceptive.Parking: There is absolutely no parking. It's a very crowded residential/partially industrial area. You'd be hard pressed to find a spot open here.

We tried this place for the first time and were extremely disappointed. The burger was cooked perfectly, but there was absolutely no WOW to the burger. The bun was thick and dense, oversized for a 1/4 pound burger, and the only flavor they added was what appeared to be a ketchup and relish mixture served on the side. The meat was not seasoned either and we both found our burgers to be unremarkable. The shoestring fries were okay, but very salty. Never again, a waste of money.

We will never be eating at a Counter again. We tried to order online for 40 minutes because we received a buy one get one coupon in the mail. Putting the food in was fine. The checkout processor they use was ABSOLUTELY terrible, you can't use the coupon unless you create an account and I created two accounts and couldn't login, it was definitely broken. When we finally tried to place the order it wouldn't go through. Haven't been to the counter in years and we won't be trying again ever.

Walking by, you wouldn't think much of it. But when you walk inside, the ambiance and and theme, just like the food, we're amazing. I love the layout and decor. Got the "Old School Cheeseburger" and some Shoestring Fries. Have to say, right up there at the top 3 burgers I've ever had and I eat at least 3 burgers every single week. HIGHLY recommend.

Google listing is deceptive. It looks like it’s a done I’m place but it just takes you to a weird industrial block of auto body shops. Must be one of those fake restaurants just using a kitchen and doing a lot of door dash.

Ayo what in the sweet bootleg hell is this clandestine burger joint operatin out the side of somebody car shop b Save yourself the time and hit a REAL counter shop. This is one of them weird doordash kitchen franchise things OR some illegal mf's stealing clout Disappointment is not a strong enough word to explain how I'm feelin after biting into this overcooked a** hockey puck burger patty and these dollar store a** lacrosse stick a** fries. I could pierce flesh if I threw these joints at the right speed The counter is my favorite former burger joint. It's expensive but worth it. Not this impostor one though. Don't base your opinion off of this fake place. Get some brisket and chicken from capelo's next door or go to a sit down counter restaurant instead Word

As others noted, there's no dedicated parking for takeout. The staff at the counter was courteous and cheerful. Unfortunately the order was not filled properly. I did order family packs with Brioche, only to find there's no bun at all. Perhaps I should have unpack the bag as soon as I received it, but I really didn't expect that. By the time I found it out, I was far enough. And there's no phone number to speak with a human being. The number goes directly to voice mail box.

Difficult to find as the building has changed from google & it is crammed between auto body shops. It is take out only with zero sit down options and zero parking. I was looking forward to the food because of the old San Mateo location but we did not even stay

Interesting, I was expecting a sit-down location, like when Hillsdale was open, but nope it's a pick -up place. A bit pricey but delicious, well made and the packaging was great.
