Atmosphere is welcoming. sunlight complements the Barifa decor. Service is also warm. Barifia bakes some of it food on site. The wonderful food not baked on site is done at a local kitchen in the city of san mateo.

Family owned cafe in San Mateo. The service is so friendly and homely. The decor is well curated. And most importantly the concept is soooo cool. A play on the Indian sweet Barfi, Barfia serves custom Barfi and a bunch of cultural drinks and food native to India and Philippines. Love this spot!

The environment is very aesthetic! The barista was very kind and fast with drinks. There wasn’t as many pastry options as i had hoped. I tried the zucchini loaf, it’s pretty good. The only thing is there prices are a bit too high. Everything else was great! I haven’t tried their lunch or breakfast yet

Amazing people and amazing food, especially the breakfast sandwich next time you’re there, try the bagel break sandwich with marinara sauce!!! And they don’t mind you sitting there for a couple of hours.

I just remembered I had to leave a review, the coffee here reminded me that the likes of, Starbucks, Philz, Peets and BlueBottle are pop culture and not premium coffee expertly prepared. They also have a photographic memory of your previous orders, wish could visit more❤️
Pretty decent chai tiramisu but I couldn't really taste the chai and the cream was not of the highest quality. Still quite delicious.
