They don’t allow you to split flavors in a single scoop so not a good place for those who don’t want too much ice cream of the same flavor. We’ve been here a handful of times and the last few visits, our ice cream was melting even before we checked out to pay. It almost feels like the freezer isn’t strong enough (?) anymore so the ice cream is not an ice cream but more of a shake 2 minutes in.Service was definitely not the friendliest on a Sunday afternoon. I will probably skip next time and just stick to blue bottle next door or travel to yumi yogurt.
Tried this place for the first time and loved their ice cream texture and flavors! They’ve really unique flavors - I tried something with Jasmine and another with Coconut (very tropical) and I loved it! They also have the standard flavors and they’ve the perfect smoothness and balance of flavors.
Cute little ice cream place with some standard flavors and some more unique and interesting flavors! I went with some friends and I liked pretty much every flavor that we got. Price wise seemed pretty standard for a nicer ice cream spot.
Good choice of seasonal + regular flavors and best waffle cones! All time favs include the salted butterscotch and chocolate
Great ice cream, but when I asked for an extra cup to split the order with my daughter standing with me, one of the employees actually told the other to stop and charge for another separate order. Alas, I love their ice cream, but disappointed that their corporate policy has changed to nickel and dime.
Last year, I came across a post about their well-known Blue Jasmine Tea ice cream, and ever since, it's been running on my mind. I finally made the trip to go try it. Creamy and light hints of floral jasmine. Almost too pretty to eat! I liked it, but I had better. Wish it had a little more jasmine flavor to it.
Delicious as always
Kids love the Cookie Monster ice cream ! If you have little ones you should bring here , to enjoy it .
Great ice cream. Woeth the visit.
blue jasmine flavor was floral and not bad, but also a little overpowering... like i got tired of it after a few bites. would like to try some other flavors in the future. also small chunks of ice in the ice cream, not as creamy as i expected. nice area though with lots of outdoor seating.

Excellent ice cream
My wife and I have been regular customers at Tin Pot in Palo Alto. It was our first time visiting their San Mateo branch on S. Delaware Street. We were pleasantly surprised how nice and modern the area is. I went in with my granddaughter while my wife waited in our car. We were pleasantly welcomed by Bonnie whose customer service is topnotch. Their ice cream, as always, are creamy and delicious. The place is a little pricy but well worth it! We will go back, and that’s a promise!
So creamy. Now if summer would come…….
Delicious flavors and friendly staff.
Got two scoops of two different flavors. One was half melted and the other tasted freezer burned. They need to monitor their appliances better for temperature. Also there is no kids size available so plan on spending $6 for a SINGLE SCOOP of mediocre ice cream for a child. Side note, the girl working the counter was an absolute robot. Part of the reason for spending top dollar for a gourmet product is getting some charm with your date night or treat. Two thumbs down. This kind of business only survives in a neighborhood that has more money than sense.
