Brought the family here after a day in SF. It was the perfect meal after a long day. The crust was thin and crisp and all of the toppings were fresh. We ordered one family pizza and it was more than enough to feed all of us. The staff that helped us were so kind and welcoming. Definitely a place you can order out and eat in at. Definitely will swing by again when I'm traveling through the area again!

So glad we gave this place a shot as we were craving thin crust pizza. Really appreciated the fresh, homemade toppings and sauce! Also enjoyed the interaction with the owner who told us about their story. We went nearly at closing, so it was pretty empty and the ambience felt fast casual, but that just meant we got the owners undivided attention. Definitely recommend!

I LOVE PJ'S!! Not only do they have the best pie in San Mateo, but yesterday I tried their chicken pesto sandwich and it was to die for. Phillip and his lovely wife also treat me & my family so well. It's a must-try if you are in the San Mateo area!

I found PJ's on Yelp less than a year ago. Since finding the restaurant I've been there 8 different times. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly every time I've been. There is an upstairs and downstairs seating area, both providing a different vibe. The pizza is AMAZING! Personally, what makes it stand out is the sauce, a unique flavor unlike anything I've tasted elsewhere. It's become a go-to spot for me to bring my family and friends!

I went to PJ's for the first time and I'm so glad I did. The pizza was amazing! The crust is perfection and they offer interesting toppings that are fresh and delicious. The service was great and it is a family business. I have found my new favorite pizza!!

They used to be called Velo City Pizza, but we came in and they told us they’re changing their name into PJ’s so here we are!The owners are really kind and hospitable. They love their business and they surely love the customers. They explained to us their best sellers and how they made their own ricotta recipe for the lamb pizza. It’s a small restaurant nearby our house, so they don’t have a lot of seats available but it’s cozy and comfortable place to visit. They sell a bunch of gelato on sticks and I would say that tastes a little old.. but their pizza are very tasty and we’ll be back again for them!

We ordered pizza, salad and wings for a party (close to 60 people) and the food were delivered to the party venue on time and well packed. Many of our guests liked the pizza and some were asking where we ordered them from. The prices are on the higher end but the quality was worth it. We would order from here again!

Wow! Thank you, Phil! Excellent slow-cooked overnight oven-roasted tomato sauce, so rich and mild, no tangy burn like everyone else's sauce. Excellent homemade chicken fennel sausage, too! Fast service, great price - beer & 16" half-n-half for $50. I'll be back - check out the cozy loft dining, nice & warm on a cold winter night.

I ordered a large pizza around lunchtime. The owner said the pizza would be ready in 20 mins. When I arrived there were no customers in the store. Unfortunately he had totally forgot to pass the order to the employees to make the pizza. I had to wait another 15 minutes for the pizza to be made as staff made it painfully slow. The shop itself has a nice ambiance with seating upstairs also. The pizza was very average and had very little red sauce. I usually will eat a good amount when eating pizza. However, I only ate two smaller slices and the taste didn't really satisfy my pizza craving. I would say taste was a solid 2.75. The large pizza was $38 before tax (pretty pricey) and the touch screen was extremely sensitive and I accidentally selected the incorrect tip amount.
