Not great food, hummus was old/sour and the rice was under cooked. We left and walked around the area for 30 or so minutes got coffee, went to Whole Foods and when we returned the table was still not cleared. I didn't want the $20 tip to get stolen so I went back got it off the table and walked it inside. Would not recommend.

This is one of the best Mediterranean places I have ever been to. I had the entree plate which included rice, hummus, salad, pitas and salad. Everything spiced just right. Tons of food and the person who waited on us was wonderful. This is a must stop for anyone who enjoys great food and great service. Highly recommended!

Loved the food and the service. The grilled chicken and salmon was excellent and the hummus was very fresh and tasty. The service would have to rank among the best I've seen in years. The lady was wonderful to all of us and took great care of us going way out of her way to make us comfortable. The portions were large sized and she gave us so many additional things on the house including multiple desserts, and additional salmon, rice and pita! All in all it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this gem of a place.

Delicious food and affordable prices. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate and lamb gyro sandwich. The owner was super generous and gave us extra lentil soup, free pitas, extra drinks, and extra baklava. Portion size was huge as well. Would highly recommend this place.

Very friendly and generous owner. I couldn’t choose what kind of meat I wanted with my hummus order so she offered a taste of all of them! See photo. She kept offering more rice and sauce, it was like a home cooked meal! I found the lamb and chicken especially tasty.

Classic Mediterranean food, go to place for falafel plate and chicken shawarma plate is equally good. They have good baklava as well if you crave for desserts after. The owner lady is really warm and it’s females les business, something I like to support always!

Ordered for delivery: food was less than mediocre. The hummus tasted gross. I’m really surprised to see the positive reviews about it. They gave me the wrong drink order too. The only thing that was decent was the turmeric rice and sautéed eggplant.

Worst experience ever from any of the restaurants in US. The service is really bad and pathetic. We went to the store and ordered. We had to wait for more than 1.5 hours and there were only a few people and few orders and almost everyone was waiting. Only one person to take the orders, serve , pack etc. Also they did not tell if it is going to take longer. Nothing was ready, they were frying falafel then and there, there were no pita. While taking the order they did not write the options and while serving other customers, they were asking about what do we want. The only one lady at the counter was running here and there. I saw how unhygienic the counter was. She put my pita sandwich on the counter, her hands were all filled with some sauce . And when we got our order the packet had all the sauce from her hands. It was grose.I would have not written this review until I found a stapler pin in my mouth. This place really needs some check and better serviceAnd you can see all the reviews on google and on Yelp too, the business owner is not ready to accept any bad reviews or rather any suggestions. If there is a problem with their service or delivery they should accept it. They are rather denying everything saying that these are false claims. Very funny

Very funny I see there are many such reviews and not everyone will same issues unless there is an actual problem Business owner should accept the responsibility

Found a piece of METAL in my falafel... Not much more to say. Won't be coming here again.

We came here since we were in San Mateo to run an errand. My husband was craving for Middle Eastern food and remembered having had very good hummus at this little eatery across from Whole Foods about 2 years ago, so he brought me here. The current owner took over this business right before the pandemic and was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the chicken shawarma with turmeric rice plate while my husband had the ground beef with hummus and pita bread. I wasn't too impressed with mine as I had better chicken shawarma elsewhere. It didn't taste fresh and was probably reheated by the microwave. My husband also agreed that the quality of the hummus was better before but we were happy to be able to patronize a small business as we have been eating out at least several times a week since the pandemic to support different local businesses that are trying to stay afloat.

What a delicious place to eat with friends! A group of us stopped by for dinner; we ordered different dishes to try them out. The food was fresh, their salads very tasty and their meats had delicious seasonings and flavor. We stayed a long time because the service was excellent (very friendly servers) and we really felt welcome. Their prices were the most surprising thing as each plate was around $10 and most restaurants in the area charge $16 and up. We had a really great time!

Great food at an affordable price. It's been years since I was last here, and since then they've added so much more variety! Definitely a neighborhood gem.

Long pending review : So, we've used their catering service at my work place and a lot of other small events. Their food used to be good Pre-covid. We ordered at least 3-4 times since COVID happened and the quality is not great. Disappointed with both veg and non-veg options. It just keeps getting worse day by day. I happened to chat about the uncooked meat and stale falafels to the owner during one of my pick-ups and she mentioned that their staff have changed and are retraining the new ones to get back on track. Fast forward, a month later we doordash'ed again hoping it will be good and the quality still sucks big time. There were hard olives seeds in my plate, Seriously? Oh and the meat like a piece of RUBBER. The icing on the cake is "The owner". She is super RUDE. Does not care about customers and is unwilling to hear any feedback. Never recommend this place to anyone! Lost our trust.
