Elkhorn Bar Reviews
Wife and I, friends went to the Elkhorn Bar last Saturday afternoon, 04/22/23. Had a nice time, great drinks. Mingled with bar patrons and bartender Crystal. Heard stories of Jesse James the outlaw. She was a great conversationalist, kept up with us. All had several rounds of drinks. Introduced me to the “Kentucky Buck 50.” Very refreshing . Looking forward to another Paso RV trip and back to the Elkhorn in San Miguel.
If you're looking for polished and trendy, Elkhorn Bar probably isn't your place—and that's exactly what makes it special. As one of the West Coast's oldest bars, it has a rich history and an authentic character that's becoming increasingly rare to find.

Elkhorn Bar is a historic establishment, located in a charming small town. It boasts a warm atmosphere, complete with a wood-burning stove and neon lights. The bar offers a wide selection of drinks, both mixed and on tap, including strong cocktails and a great michelada. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly, like Christina, who provides quick service. The locals are welcoming and nice, making it a great place to meet new people. Sometimes there’s live music or karaoke, with some surprisingly good singers. The food, especially during customer appreciation day, is really yummy. It’s the only bar in the area, drawing a mix of all ages and backgrounds, like a modern version of Cheers. The glasses are icy cold for draft drinks, perfect after a long drive.
