Very good food good service
This restaurant was a great discovery today as we were driving through San Pablo. I absolutely love Nicaraguan food and think it's something more people should get the opportunity to enjoy. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was clean, well kept and cozy.
We bought several things and every one of them was delicious. We bought a Cerdo plate, a Carne Asada plate, Nacatamales and two different Agua Frescas. The plates all came with Gallo Pinto (traditional Nicaraguan Rice & Beans), Maduros (sweet fried plantains), Queso Frito (salty fried cheese), Ensalada de Repollo (shredded cabbage salad) and whichever meat you ordered. Everything and I mean everything was perfect and was 100% authentic. The Cerdo(grilled pork) and Carne Asada (grilled steak) were incredibly flavorful and cooked so this it had just the right amount of char on the outside, but still incredibly moist and juicy inside.
The Nacatamales were also amazing. If you've never had a nacatamal, it's wrapped and steamed in a banana leaf, it has a maza outside similar to a Mexican tomale, only it 3 times larger and filled with rice, potato, pork, tomato and other amazing stuff. It's like if a Mexican tomale had a really big cousin with way more flavor. If you haven't had one, you gotta try it. Also, you can eat them as a breakfast, lunch or dinner and you'll be completely satisfied and full.
For the Agua Frescas, we got Cacao and Tamarindo. Both with freshly made in the restaurant and absolutely delicious. The Agua Frescas were great, but out of everything they were perhaps a little pricier than I would have liked. I think everything else was well priced for what you received. I can't say enough good things about the food here and wholeheartedly recommend Delicias Nicaraguense.

You have to wait too long for the food. The minimum wait per order is 1 hour. Even if it's just some tacos and fresh. And it is worse if there are 2 or 3 customers in the restaurant. The food is good. But the service is completely very very very bad. Besides, they have loud music.

Terrible, terrible service, poor service, they gave me a meal that I did not order, the waitress was the cook at the same time and we waited for an hour for them to bring something that was not, I do not recommend that place due to poor service and staff not prepared for customer service.

The best in the Bay Area, I recommend this place. Don't believe the bad comments. The food is at a good price. The cocoa is exported from Nicaragua. It is an organic seed. Come and enjoy this delight. What does Nicaraguan gastronomy bring to you?
