Came for lunch...the food is okay and there's options. The waitress forgot to ask us what we would like to drink and I had to ask around lol but no biggie she came right after. Area was really clean and they cater to the clientele. Only Asian buffet I've seen that has plátanos lmao

Avoid Empire Buffet at 700 San Pablo Towne Center at all costs. Food is terrible. Place is filthy. Staff ignores you while talking in their language. But the worst is their mandatory tip. Dinner's just $23.50 on the menu—no tip mentioned anywhere upfront. Then the female server explodes, yelling at my husband in front of everyone for not adding 10% mandatory tip automatically. They demand at least 10% or create a scene, guilting customers who weren't warned. I always tip generously for decent service, but this hidden mandatory policy is shady, unethical, and ruins everything. Never going back—don't let them trick you either!

Food was above average Chinese buffets. A little more pricey than those in other cities but this is Bay Area. Right next to our hotel so it’s easy to grab a quick dinner after a long drive. Very good seafood selection but yeah, there is no sushi bar even though I don’t eat sushi at a buffet restaurant anyway. Hot and sour soup was great.

Very unpleasant experience today, we had a late lunch around 2 or 3. The food set out on the buffet tables looked like it had been sitting there and not fresh. There was no variety or much option to choose from. Server was very rude, he didn’t pick up our plates barely refilled our drinks with warm iced tea and then demands a tip. Also he was eyeing us like we were going to get up and not pay the check. If I come to a buffet it is to eat as much as I want, not to be stared at by the staff. I don’t think I will return anytime soon. Plenty of other places to go to in the area.
